myanywAiR NEXT / UTY-NXT
1. Overview
The UTY-NXT / myanywAiR NEXT Wi-Fi adaptor stores the Wi-Fi network name, also known as the SSID, and the Wi-Fi password used during its original setup.
If the modem, router, internet provider, Wi-Fi name or password changes, the adaptor may continue trying to connect using the old saved details. When this occurs, the air conditioner may show as offline in the myanywAiR NEXT app.
On ducted installations, the UTY-NXT may be installed near the indoor unit in the ceiling space. Accessing the adaptor to reset it may require return-air grille access, ceiling access or attendance by a service technician.
2. Recommended first step
When the replacement router uses exactly the same SSID and Wi-Fi password as the previous router, devices connected to the old network will generally attempt to reconnect automatically.
This approach may avoid the need to physically access the UTY-NXT. It may also reconnect other devices such as phones, tablets, televisions, printers, cameras and smart-home equipment.
3. When to use this solution
- The air conditioner is showing as offline in the myanywAiR NEXT app.
- The customer recently changed their modem, router or internet provider.
- The Wi-Fi network name or password has changed.
- The UTY-NXT is installed on a ducted unit and is difficult to access.
- The customer still knows the previous Wi-Fi network name and password.
4. What the customer needs
| Item | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| Old Wi-Fi network name | The previous SSID shown on connected devices or recorded by the customer. |
| Old Wi-Fi password | The password previously used to connect devices to the home Wi-Fi. |
| New router access | Router app or web-based settings page. |
| Router admin login | Usually on the modem/router label, in the router app or supplied by the internet provider. |
5. Recommended process
- Confirm the previous Wi-Fi network name and password.
- Log in to the new modem or router using its app or web settings page.
- Change the new router's Wi-Fi network name so it exactly matches the previous SSID.
- Change the new router's Wi-Fi password so it exactly matches the previous password.
- Save or apply the settings.
- Restart the router if required by the manufacturer.
- Allow several minutes for the UTY-NXT and other devices to reconnect.
- Open the myanywAiR NEXT app and check whether the air conditioner has returned online.
6. Important notes
- If the router has separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, apply the old SSID and password to the 2.4 GHz network.
- If the router uses band steering, Smart Connect or one combined Wi-Fi name, make sure the combined network name and password match the old details.
- Changing router settings may temporarily disconnect the phone or computer being used. Reconnect using the updated Wi-Fi details.
- If the old SSID or password is unknown, the UTY-NXT will generally need to be reset and added again through the myanywAiR NEXT app.
7. Router and provider support guides

8. If the device does not reconnect
- Restart the modem or router.
- Where safe to do so, turn the air conditioner power off and back on at the isolator or circuit breaker.
- Wait several minutes and check the myanywAiR NEXT app again.
- Confirm the SSID and password exactly match the previous router settings.
- Confirm the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network is enabled.
- If the adaptor remains offline, proceed with the myanywAiR NEXT reset and reconnection process.
