ASTG24LFCC – Wired Remote Controller Connection to CN6
Connecting cable identification, part number and wiring method
For technicians connecting a compatible wired remote controller to the indoor unit PCB.
Answer: The wired remote controller connects to CN6. The 5-pin connecting cable used between the indoor PCB and the wired remote controller cable is available as Part No. 9705932012.
Important clarification: The installation instructions describe the connecting cable as being supplied with the wired remote controller. It is not listed as a standard supplied accessory with the ASTG24LFCC indoor unit. If the cable is missing or a replacement is required, use 9705932012.
1. Correct PCB connection
The indoor unit PCB provides separate connectors for the wired remote controller and the external input/output functions.

The wired remote controller must be connected through CN6. External connection kits intended for CN14 or CN16 are not a substitute for the CN6 remote-controller connecting cable.

3. Remote controller cable modification
The installation instructions require the remote controller cable to be modified before connection to the 5-pin connecting cable.
- Isolate power to the indoor unit before accessing the PCB or modifying wiring.
- Cut the terminal from the end of the remote controller cable.
- Remove approximately 20 mm of outer insulation from the cut end.
- Join the remote controller cable to the 5-pin connecting cable, matching the corresponding red, white and black conductors.
- Solder the wire joints.
- Insulate each connection correctly so that no conductor or soldered joint remains exposed.
- Plug the 5-pin connector into CN6 on the indoor unit PCB.
Do not simply twist the conductors together. The installation instructions specifically require the wires to be soldered and the completed joints to be insulated.
4. Avoid using the wrong optional connection kit
If a technician is attempting to solve a wired-controller connection issue using an external input or output kit, first confirm which PCB connector the kit is designed for.
