Where to Find the Outdoor Unit Model and Serial Number
How to locate the outdoor unit identification plate
Quick answer: The model and serial number are printed on the outdoor unit data plate. This plate is normally located on the right-hand side or the front-right panel of the outdoor unit.
Where to look
The identification plate can typically be found in one of the following locations:
- Right-hand side of the outdoor unit — usually on a silver or white data label.
- Front-right panel of the outdoor unit — the exact position can vary depending on the model.

What information is required
When contacting General Assist, please provide a clear photo of the complete data plate showing:

| Serial number | Identifies the individual unit and assists with warranty and service enquiries. |
Photo tip: Wipe away dust or moisture and take the photo in good lighting. Make sure the full label is in focus and all numbers can be read.
If the plate cannot be found
Check both the side and front panels carefully, as the plate position differs between outdoor unit designs. Do not remove access panels or electrical covers to search for the label.
The outdoor unit model and serial number may be required for technical support, spare parts, warranty assessment or service booking.
