4. Electrical and circuit references
Use the source wiring diagrams for detailed connector pinouts and PCB-level tracing. The available references cover:
  • Indoor and outdoor overall circuit diagrams
  • Indoor control PCB
  • Outdoor inverter, power-supply and transistor PCBs
  • Indicator PCB and LED/button layout
5. Error detection and diagnostics
Wired remote controller
When a fault occurs, the wired controller shows an error code with Er in the set-temperature display and identifies the affected indoor-unit number.
Outdoor LED diagnostic workflow
Confirm the outdoor ERROR LED is blinking
Press ENTER once
to step into the detailed fault display.
Record the states of POWER, ERROR, PUMP DOWN, LOW NOISE, PEAK CUT and MODE LEDs L1-L6
Match the blink count and LED state to the service-manual fault table
Diagnose the identified group
Communication, sensor, inverter, pressure, fan motor, valve or refrigerant system.
6. Outdoor-unit test run
Pre-checks
  • Outdoor unit securely installed
  • Gas-leak inspection completed
  • Pipe and drain insulation completed
  • Drain discharge confirmed
  • Cables and earth conductor connected correctly
  • No airflow obstruction
  • Correct refrigerant charge
  • Gas and liquid stop valves fully open
  • Crankcase heater energised for more than 6 hours
Power ON and enter standby
Press ENTER for more than 3 seconds
to enter test-run setting mode.
Use SELECT to choose COOL or HEAT
Perform the first test run in COOL.
Press ENTER to start
Check noise, vibration and discharge-air temperature
Press ENTER again to stop
7. Outdoor-unit pump down
Safety: Do not touch electrical components other than the display-board buttons. Ensure the compressor is stopped before removing refrigerant piping. Never disconnect piping while the compressor is operating with valves open.
Confirm liquid and gas 3-way valves are fully open
Turn power ON and wait 3 minutes
Press PUMP DOWN for at least 3 seconds
Approximately 3 minutes after compressor start, fully close the liquid valve
When the LED state changes again, fully close the gas valve
Compressor and fans stop automatically. Turn power OFF.
To stop pump down, press PUMP DOWN again. If the sequence stops due to a fault: switch power OFF, reopen both valves, wait 3 minutes, restore power and retry. If pump down cannot be completed, recover refrigerant through the service port.
