FG44 Error – AnywAiR Ducted Controller
Troubleshooting guide for UTY-ANY1 and UTY-ANY2 wall-mounted touch screens
FG44 meaning: Communication error between the wall-mounted AnywAiR touch screen and the control box.

Update FG Assist / relevant Android app from the Play Store
on the wall-mounted touch screen.
Reset the system at the mains.
Turn power off for 5 minutes, then restore power.
After restoring power, wait a further 5 minutes
before testing the system again.
Error cleared
Record the corrective action and return the unit to service.

FG44 remains after app update and power reset
Inspect the blue communication cable
between the touch screen and the control box.
Check for loose plugs, damage, pinching, cuts or bent connectors.
Test the system using a known-good replacement cable
between the touch screen and the control box.
Did the error clear with the replacement cable?
YES
The original cable is faulty. Replace the blue communication cable.
 NO
The fault may be in the touch screen, control box or related communications. Escalate for further diagnosis.
How to set the correct time on the Android wall tablet
  1. Open Settings on the wall-mounted Android tablet.
  2. Open System, General management or Additional settings, depending on the Android version.
  3. Select Date & time.
  4. Turn on Use network-provided time, Automatic date & time or the equivalent option.
  5. Turn on Use network-provided time zone or Automatic time zone.
  6. Confirm the displayed date, local time and time zone are correct.
  7. Return to the AnywAiR screen and restart the tablet if the displayed time does not update immediately.
Important: Ensure the wall controller tablet is set to use Network time. An incorrect date or time can interfere with stable operation and app communications.

Enable network-provided date, time and time zone.
 YES
Confirm Wi-Fi has internet access and restart the tablet.
Is the time now correct?
YES
Retest the system after time correction.
 NO
Set the correct time manually for testing, confirm the time zone, then escalate if the time drifts or resets again.

  • Confirm whether the system is UTY-ANY1 or UTY-ANY2.
  • Photo of the FG44 message.
  • Wall tablet Android version and FG Assist / AnywAiR app version.
  • Results of Play Store update and mains reset.
  • Whether a known-good replacement blue cable was fitted and the result.
  • Photos of the touch screen, control box and cable connections.
  • Displayed date, time and time zone on the wall tablet.
  • Any signs of physical damage, moisture ingress or loose connectors.
Escalate immediately if the error remains after app update, power reset and replacement cable testing, or if there is evidence of damaged connectors, liquid ingress or hardware failure.
