anywAiR FG Status Codes - Troubleshooting Flow

Support guide for triaging FG status codes on anywAiR / FG Assist systems. Use the displayed code and where it appears to select the correct troubleshooting path.
Core principle: Always capture the exact FG code, including any suffix after the decimal point, where the code appears, and whether it is on Apple, Android or the wall mounted touch screen. The same general fault can have different codes depending on the device showing the message.

1. Main FG status code triage flow

Start: Customer or installer reports an FG status code
Capture the exact code, including suffixes such as FG24.17002 or FG29.17002.
Step 1 - Record where the code appears
Apple app, Android app, wall mounted touch screen / tablet, or multiple devices.
Step 2 - Confirm status type
A/C communication, remote access / Wi-Fi, pairing / activation, sensor, app update/permission or incompatible app/system.
Step 3 - Use the quick map below
Select the fault family and follow the relevant flow.

2. Quick map by FG code family

Code familyPrimary meaningGo to
FG1-FG4Control box, indoor unit, daughter board/dictionary or temperature sensor detection issue.Communication / component flow
FG7-FG14Something connected to N/A ports, or activation code expired for FG9.N/A port / activation check
FG24-FG29 / FG32Remote connection, server, internet or unknown FGserv connection error.Remote / Wi-Fi flow
FG33, FG38-FG40, FG55-FG57, FG70Apps out of date, reboot required or FG Assist permissions not set correctly.Apps / permissions flow
FG42-FG46Mobile device cannot locate wall mounted touch screen, communication error, TSP offline or Wi-Fi/internet problem.Remote / Wi-Fi flow
FG48-FG53, FG71-FG72Device not paired, activation required or phone has no systems stored while not connected to Wi-Fi.Pairing / activation flow
FG81-FG89Wireless wall sensor configuration, low battery or sensor clash.Sensor flow
FG123x-FG162xSystem type, incompatible app, local network permission or missing system data issues.Apps / permissions flow

3. FG1-FG4 communication / component flow

Start: FG1, FG2, FG3 or FG4 displayed
Step 1 - Power reset and wait period
Wait 5 minutes. If not cleared, reset power at mains/isolator for 10-15 minutes, restore power and wait another 5 minutes.
Decision - Which code is displayed?
FG1FG2FG3FG4
Control box not detecting A/C indoor unit.

Check A/C unit power, correct control box, link cable and connections. Run unit on its own controller and confirm field settings. Note: this can occur if an indoor such as ARTH is still set to 2-wire; ensure indoor control PCB is set to 3-wire where required.
Slave unit controller detected.

Disconnect the unit controller. This controller is standalone and requires the unit controller to be completely disconnected. Reset power and retest.
Control box not communicating with daughter board/dictionary.

Reset power to the control box, check link cable/connections while waiting, then restore power. If error remains, replace the control box or escalate.
No temperature sensors detected.

Check 4 DIP switch system ID on control box and each temperature sensor, reset sensors by removing/reinserting batteries, replace at least one battery, reset system and retest.

4. FG7-FG14 N/A port and FG9 activation flow

FG9FG7, FG8, FG10-FG14
Activation code expired.

Obtain activation code from installer/A/C specialist and enter activation code. If it does not clear, contact support.
Something connected to N/A ports.

Check N/A ports, remove any incorrect connection and reset power. If still present, contact installer/help desk.

5. Remote access / Wi-Fi / internet flow

Start: FG24-FG29, FG32, FG42-FG46, FG71-FG72 displayed
Step 1 - Confirm wall mounted touch screen Wi-Fi and internet
Check the TSP/tablet is connected to local Wi-Fi and has internet. Check customer router is online.
Step 2 - Confirm date/time on wall controller tablet
For FG42-FG46 and communication style errors, ensure the wall controller tablet has correct time and is set to use network time.
Step 3 - Reboot relevant devices
Reboot wall mounted touch screen, customer router and phone/tablet device where applicable. Retest remote access.
FG24.xxxxx / FG29.xxxxx / FG32FG42-FG46 / FG71-FG72
Record the final digits.

Unknown remote connection error examples include FG24.17002 or FG29.17002. Record the last 5 digits and discuss with technical team if retry/reboot does not resolve.
System not found / TSP offline / no systems stored.

Connect phone and wall mounted touch screen to the same local Wi-Fi. Confirm TSP/tablet internet. Reopen app and pair or retry remote access.

6. Pairing / activation flow

Start: FG48, FG49, FG50, FG52, FG53, FG71 or FG72 displayed
Step 1 - Put mobile device and TSP on same local Wi-Fi
The phone/app must be on the exact same local Wi-Fi as the wall mounted touch screen for initial pairing.
Step 2 - Open app and control system locally for at least 10 seconds
Step 3 - Disconnect mobile device from Wi-Fi and test remote access
For FG52 / FG53, enter activation code on the wall mounted touch screen

7. Sensor configuration flow

FG81-FG83FG84-FG86FG87-FG89FG4
Unconfigured sensor.

Check each temperature sensor has one zone allocated only. Use the set of ten DIP switches inside the sensor.
Low battery.

Replace or swap battery with another sensor and wait up to 1 hour to see if the fault follows the battery.
Sensor clash.

Check no more than one sensor is allocated to the same zone. If allocation is correct, change system ID on control box and all sensors, then reset power.
No sensors detected.

Check 4 DIP switch system ID matches between control box and sensors. Reset sensors by battery removal and reinsert.

8. App update / permissions / incompatible app flow

Start: App update, permission, incompatible app or system type code displayed
Step 1 - Update relevant apps
For FG33, update wall mounted touch screen apps through Play Store. For FG38/FG39, update phone app from App Store or Google Play.
Step 2 - Reboot wall mounted touch screen
For FG40 and FG55-FG57, reboot wall mounted touch screen after update / Google Play Services update.
Step 3 - Check permissions
For FG70 enable FG Assist permissions. For FG155x/FG156x/FG159x, enable Local Network permission in phone settings.
For FG123x-FG130x, confirm correct app installed and no additional FG apps have been added
