3. System architecture and key concepts

ConceptSupport explanation
Touch screen / TSP FGThe wall touch screen is an Android tablet permanently mounted to the wall. It runs the anywAiR app, can connect to Wi-Fi, and is powered from the control box rather than a normal loose charger.
Control boxThe orange control module in the ceiling/roof space links the indoor unit, touchscreen, antenna, PSU, RJ12 zone motors and sensors. Do not connect control box power until wiring is complete during installation.
Indoor unit link cableThree-core lead from control box to indoor unit: terminal 1 red, terminal 2 white, terminal 3 black.
Blue data cable clearanceBlue data cable between the control box and touchscreen needs 130 mm clearance from 240 V cables.
DIP switch 5DIP switch 5 selects return air sensor mode or MainZone sensor mode. Default is return air mode.
System IDThe control box and wireless sensors must share the same System ID. Multiple systems in the same home require different System IDs.
SensorsWireless temperature sensors are battery powered. Sensor System ID must match control box and zone number DIP switch must match the allocated zone. Maximum one sensor per zone and maximum 10 zones.
ZonesAirflow zones are controlled by percentage in 5% increments. Temperature zones require sensors and can automatically control airflow to maintain the desired zone temperature.
Constant zonesInstaller-programmed electronic constant zones can automatically open to relieve excess air pressure if insufficient zones are open.
MainZone / MainTemp / AutoModeMainZone uses the selected zone’s sensor to drive unit demand. MainTemp can automatically select the zone with greatest difference between actual and desired temperature. AutoMode can change between cooling/heating to maintain open zones within a default range.

AnywAiR intake triage flow

Start every call by identifying whether the issue is AC control, zone control, tablet/app, Wi-Fi/remote access or installation/commissioning
Confirm site, customer/installer, model UTY-ANY1, indoor unit model if known, number of zones and whether issue is new install or existing install
Ask what the customer sees: no display, anywAiR app opens, FG status code, zone not moving, phone app offline, Google/voice issue, or AC fault
Separate customer-safe checks from installer-only checks
Record whether fault is on wall mounted touch screen, Apple app, Android app or all platforms
Tablet/app issue
Use tablet, Wi-Fi, FG reset and restore flows first.
AC or link issue
Use FG1-FG3 / installation communication path and involve installer.
Zones or sensors
Use sensor/zone flow. Check System ID, sensor DIP and batteries.

Use Wi-Fi / remote access path. Local wall control may still be normal.
Important: Do not send a customer into roof-space, control box or indoor-unit wiring checks. Escalate to installer/agent for electrical or roof-space work.

UTY-ANY1 installation / commissioning flow

Use this flow for new installs, recommissioning, controller replacement or control box replacement
Power up air conditioner first and test correct operation with the Fujitsu wired remote controller
Set indoor fan static pressure and any required function settings. Record all setting values and keep the original wall controller onsite
Isolate the air conditioner and allow minimum 5 minutes for system to de-energise
Remove Fujitsu wired remote controller cabling from indoor unit and connect orange control box link cable: 1 red, 2 white, 3 black
Connect RJ12 zone motors, touchscreen/tablet and antenna to the control module. Do not connect control box power yet
Set DIP switch 5, set unique System ID, configure each sensor if fitted, then apply PSU/control box power and run Tech Setup wizard using password 873873
Unit works on Fujitsu controller
Proceed with anywAiR installation and record settings before removing controller.
Unit fails on Fujitsu controller
Resolve air conditioner issue first. Do not commission anywAiR until base unit is proven.
Multiple systems onsite
Use different System ID for each system.
Sensors fitted
Match System ID, set zone DIP, remove battery tab and reset sensor power after DIP changes.
Important: The original Fujitsu wall controller must remain onsite for future setting work. Do not connect the control box power until wiring and zone/sensor connections are completed.

No control / blank tablet / app not responding flow

Wall mounted touch screen or local anywAiR control issue
Ask if the tablet display is blank, sleeping, frozen, or if only the anywAiR app is not responding
Customer check: double tap screen corner or press home/circle button and open anywAiR app

Run unit on its own controller and resolve AC fault before replacing anywAiR parts.
Important: FG1/FG2/FG3 are installer-level faults. Do not send customers into wiring checks. Confirm the indoor unit is set up for the correct controller communication before control box replacement.

Wireless sensor / zone status code flow

FG4, FG81-FG89 or temperature-controlled zone issue
Confirm if the site has optional wireless temperature sensors installed
Check sensor System ID matches the control box System ID
Check each sensor zone DIP switch matches the intended zone number. Maximum one sensor per zone

Google Assistant / voice control flow

Use when customer wants to link anywAiR to Google Home or scenes by voice
Confirm the customer has an anywAiR account with at least one registered device and a Google account
Open Google Home > + > Set up device > Have something already set up? > search anywAiR
Log into anywAiR account, select devices and scenes, then assign device to Google Home and room
For scenes, confirm scenes are already configured in myanywAiR/anywAiR app before voice control
If new scenes do not appear, unlink anywAiR from Google Home and re-link, selecting the new scenes
Device links
Test commands: turn on/off, set cool/heat/fan/dry, set temperature, increase/decrease temperature, fan speed.
Scenes missing
Create scenes first, then unlink/re-link anywAiR in Google Home.
Google shows offline
Check anywAiR app/local control first; Google Home may show not responding/offline intermittently while anywAiR still works.
Important: Voice scenes must exist before linking to Google Assistant. Do not troubleshoot Google first if the local anywAiR app is also not controlling the system.

6. Step-by-step phone support SOPs

SOP 1 - Installation baseline

  1. Power up the air conditioner and operate it using the original Fujitsu wired remote controller first.
  2. Set indoor fan static pressure and any required indoor function settings. Record settings and leave the original wall controller onsite.
  3. Isolate power and wait at least 5 minutes before wiring work.
  4. Remove original wired remote cabling from indoor unit and connect the UTY-ANY1 link cable: 1 red, 2 white, 3 black.
  5. Connect RJ12 zone motors, touch screen/tablet and antenna to the control module before applying power.
  6. Maintain 130 mm clearance between blue data cable and 240 V cables.
  7. Set DIP switch 5 according to return air sensor or MainZone sensor mode.
  8. Set a unique System ID for each system in the same home.

SOP 2 - Tech Setup wizard

  1. Turn air conditioning system on at isolator.
  2. Open anywAiR app from tablet home page.
  3. Press Setup.
  4. Press Tech Setup.
  5. Enter password 873873.
  6. Press Run Wizard and follow prompts.
  7. After wizard, verify Mode page, Zones page, sensor pairing, MainZone, remote access and at least one on/off test.

SOP 3 - FG fault reset

  1. Power the whole system off for 10 minutes.
  2. Confirm tablet display has switched off and is blank.
  3. Turn power back on and wait another 10 minutes for connections to re-establish.
  4. Open the anywAiR app and confirm if FG status has disappeared.
  5. If still present, navigate to Android settings and check time zone/date/time.
  6. Check Wi-Fi is connected.
  7. Record exact FG code and where it appears: Apple, Android or wall mounted touch screen.

SOP 4 - Wi-Fi and remote access

  1. On the wall touch screen, press home and open Wi-Fi settings.
  2. Select the home Wi-Fi, enter password and wait up to 2 minutes for Connected to show.
  3. Open anywAiR app > Setup > Remote Access.
  4. Remote access is enabled by default but can be disabled/re-enabled. Disabling remote access clears paired phones/tablets.
  5. After enabling, wait up to 5 minutes for status to become FG26.
  6. To pair a phone, open the anywAiR app on phone while phone is on the same Wi-Fi as the wall tablet and wait 10 seconds.
  7. For Apple remote/local network issue, ensure anywAiR app has Local Network ON and Mobile Data ON in iOS settings.

SOP 5 - Sensors

  1. Confirm whether wireless temperature sensors were installed.
  2. Set sensor System ID to match the control box System ID.
  3. Set the sensor zone number using the DIP switch for the matching zone.
  4. Only one sensor per zone is allowed, with maximum 10 zones.
  5. Remove battery tab on new sensor.
  6. If any DIP switch has been adjusted, reset sensor power by removing and reinserting the battery.
  7. Replace batteries where low battery FG codes appear.
  8. Check antenna connection and sensor range if sensors intermittently drop out.

SOP 6 - Zone logic / MainZone

  1. On Zones page, grey zones are OFF; pressing zone name toggles ON/OFF.
  2. Airflow zones have no sensor and are adjusted in 5% increments.
  3. Temperature zones have sensors and allow desired temperature control.
  4. MainZone is the temperature information centre for the air conditioner and must be an ON temperature-controlled zone.
  5. If MainZone is not turned on, the system uses return air until MainZone is active.
  6. MainTemp automatically selects the zone with greatest difference between actual and desired temperature.
  7. AutoMode averages open zones and can change between heating and cooling within the configured temperature range.
  8. Constant zones marked C may open automatically to relieve excess air pressure.

SOP 7 - Google Assistant

  1. Confirm anywAiR account has at least one registered device and customer has Google account.
  2. Open Google Home and select +.
  3. Select Set up device.
  4. Select Have something already set up? under Works with Google.
  5. Search anywAiR and link the anywAiR account.
  6. Select devices and scenes to control and assign them to home/room.
  7. For new scenes, unlink anywAiR then re-link so the new scenes are selected.

SOP 8 - Warranty / non-covered support points

  1. UTY-ANY1 has 5 year parts and labour warranty from commissioned date by Fujitsu General or approved installer.
  2. Warranty does not cover incorrect/poor installation, misapplication, faults caused by third-party products, faulty external electrical wiring, incorrect power supply, voltage fluctuations or electromagnetic interference not originating within the air conditioner.
  3. Warranty does not cover internet connectivity issues such as poor connections, drop outs or router issues.
  4. Record whether fault is product failure or external/network/site issue before approving parts.
