Signal and operating precautions
If the indoor unit does not respond to the remote controller, check the following:
- Make sure there is no curtain, wall, or other obstruction between the remote controller and the receiver window.
- Avoid interference from instant-start fluorescent lighting or similar lighting sources.
- Strong light on the indoor unit receiver can affect signal reception. Reduce direct sunlight on the receiver window and keep strong indoor lighting away from it where possible.
Battery reset and test run
- Press RESET after replacing the batteries.
- The TEST RUN button is used when testing the air conditioner after installation.

- Confirm the selected mode is available for that indoor unit type.
- Check battery condition and press RESET after battery replacement.
- Ensure the remote is aimed at the indoor unit receiver window.
- Remove any obstructions and reduce strong light interference.
- Confirm the unit is not being limited by central control, group control logic, or another connected controller.
- If group control is used, confirm the indoor units are correctly assigned within the same remote group.
