Wired Touch-Panel Controller - Admin & Installer Password Reset
This article explains the approved method to reset the Admin or Installer password on applicable Fujitsu General wired touch-panel remote controllers.

Important: The reset shortcut only works from the Password Verification screen. The button combination must be held simultaneously for 5 seconds or longer.
Reset Admin Password
Prerequisite
The controller must be displaying the Password Verification screen.
Procedure
- Navigate to Menu → Initial Setting.
- On the Password Verification screen, press and hold Cancel and Start/Stop together for 5 seconds or longer.
- The controller will display the Enter new password screen.
- Enter and confirm the new password as prompted.
Access note: The Installer password can pass Admin password verification where applicable.
Reset Installer Password
Prerequisite
The controller must be displaying the Password Verification screen.
Procedure
- Navigate to Menu → Initial Setting → Maintenance.
- On the Password Verification screen, press and hold Cancel and Start/Stop together for 5 seconds or longer.
- The controller will display the Enter new password screen.
- Enter and confirm the new password as prompted.

Troubleshooting / Common Checks
- Confirm the controller is on the Password Verification screen.
- Press Cancel and Start/Stop at the same time.
- Continue holding both buttons for at least 5 seconds.
- If the reset screen does not appear, confirm the controller is a supported touch-panel wired remote controller.
- Confirm the model is within the applicable UTY-RNR series listed above.
