Overview
This article outlines the approved method to reset the Admin or Installer password on Fujitsu General wired touch-panel remote controllers.
Applies to
Wired Remote Controller (Touch Panel) models including:
UTY-RNRZ
UTY-RNRYT5
UTY-RNRT
Reset Admin Password
Prerequisite
You must be on the Password Verification screen.
Steps
Navigate to: Menu → Initial Setting
On the Password Verification screen, press and hold the following two buttons together for 5 seconds or longer:
Cancel
Start/Stop
The system will display the “Enter new password” screen.
Enter and confirm the new password as prompted.
Important note
The Installer password can pass Admin password verification (i.e., installer-level access may be used to proceed through admin verification where applicable).
Reset Installer Password
Prerequisite
You must be on the Password Verification screen.
Steps
Navigate to: Menu → Initial Setting → Maintenance
On the Password Verification screen, press and hold the following two buttons together for 5 seconds or longer:
Cancel
Start/Stop
The system will display the “Enter new password” screen.
Enter and confirm the new password as prompted.
Troubleshooting / Common Checks
Ensure you are on the Password Verification screen (the shortcut will not trigger from other menus).
Press and hold both buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds.
If the option is not available, confirm you are using a touch-panel wired controller and one of the applicable models listed above.
