) Purpose
This article explains how to change indoor unit “Function Settings” using the UTY-RNRT wired remote controller, and provides a reference list of the available function numbers and setting values for ARTH45/54/60KHTA ducted indoor units. Incorrect settings can cause malfunction; apply settings strictly to site conditions.

2) Prerequisites / access
Installer password may be required for installer-level menus; default = 0000.
Confirm the indoor unit model is ARTH45/54/60KHTA.
Identify whether you are setting one indoor unit address or All units.
3) Procedure – Change Function Settings (UTY-RNRT)
From the Monitor Mode screen, open Menu, then navigate to Maintenance.
Select Function Setting (Maintenance → Function Setting).
On the Function Setting screen, touch Address.
Use ▲/▼ to select the indoor unit address to configure (or select “All” to apply to all connected indoor units), then touch OK.
Touch Function No., set the required Function Number with ▲/▼, then touch OK.
Touch Setting No., set the required Setting Value with ▲/▼, then touch OK.
Touch Setting to write the selected Function No. / Setting No. to the selected address(es).
Touch Back to return to the Maintenance screen.
After completing Function Setting, power-cycle the system (OFF → ON).
4) Function Setting Reference – ARTH45/54/60KHTA
4.1 Filter sign
Function 11 – Filter sign interval (default: 03 No indication)
00 = Standard (2500 hours)
01 = Long interval (4400 hours)
02 = Short interval (1250 hours)
03 = No indication (factory setting)
4.2 Room temperature correction (sensor offsets)
These settings apply a correction value relative to the standard setting.
Installation Manual - ARTH 45 5…
Function 30 (Cooling) / 31 (Heating) – Indoor unit sensor correction (default: 00 Standard setting)
00 = Standard setting (factory setting)
01 = 0.0°C
02 = −0.5°C … up to 09 = −4.0°C (More cooling / Less heating)
10 = +0.5°C … up to 17 = +4.0°C (Less cooling / More heating)
Function 35 (Cooling) / 36 (Heating) – Wired controller sensor correction (default: 00 No correction)
00 = No correction (factory setting)
01 = 0.0°C
02 = −0.5°C … 09 = −4.0°C
10 = +0.5°C … 17 = +4.0°C
Note: For wired-controller sensor control, Function 42 must be set to 01 (Both), and the Thermo Sensor icon must be displayed on the controller.
4.3 Static pressure (duct ESP)
Function 26 – Static pressure (default: 31 Standard 60 Pa)
Manual setting (ESP selection):
Setting values 06–26 map to 60–260 Pa in 10 Pa increments:
06=60 Pa, 07=70 Pa, …, 26=260 Pa
Range of static pressure: 60 to 260 Pa
31 = Standard 60 Pa (factory setting)
32 = Automatic airflow adjustment
Automatic airflow adjustment (Setting 32) – key points:
Not usable if there is a booster fan between ducts; ensure ESP is within allowable range.
Process summary: set Function 26 to 32, run Fan mode (High), unit runs then stops automatically, then power-cycle, and record the obtained setting value.
4.4 Restart behaviour
Function 40 – Auto restart after power interruption (default: 00 Enable)
00 = Enable (factory setting)
01 = Disable
4.5 Sensor switching (which sensor is active)
Function 42 – Room temperature sensor switching (default: 00 Indoor unit)
00 = Indoor unit (factory setting)
01 = Both
Function 48 – Room temperature sensor switching (Aux.) (default: 01 Wired remote controller)
00 = Both
01 = Wired remote controller (factory setting)
This only works if Function 42 is set to 01 (Both).
4.6 Heating comfort protection
Function 43 – Cold air prevention (default: 00 Enable)
00 = Enable (factory setting)
01 = Disable
4.7 External input control mode
Function 46 – External input control (default: 00 Operation/Stop mode 1)
00 = Operation/Stop mode 1 (factory setting)
01 = (Setting prohibited)
02 = Forced stop mode
03 = Operation/Stop mode 2
4.8 Cooling energy-saving fan control
Function 49 – Indoor unit fan control for energy saving (cooling) (default: 02 Remote controller)
00 = Disable
01 = Enable
02 = Remote controller (factory setting)
(00 = continuous fan when OD is stopped; 01 = intermittent very low speed; 02 = controlled via remote controller if supported.)
4.9 External output terminal function
Function 60 – External output terminal function (default: 00 Operation status)
00 = Operation status (factory setting)
09 = Error status
10 = Fresh air control
11 = Auxiliary heater
4.10 Auto mode behaviour
Function 68 – Auto mode type (default: 00 Single setpoint)
00 = Single setpoint auto mode (factory setting)
01 = Dual setpoint auto mode
