Error FG3

Communication fault between the wall tablet and indoor communication module
Error FG3 indicates that the wall-mounted tablet is not communicating correctly with the communication module installed in the roof space. This can occur following a power interruption, network outage, incorrect tablet settings or a temporary communication failure.
Safety: Only operate the circuit breaker or isolator that supplies the air conditioning system. Do not enter the roof space or remove electrical covers. Internal inspection must be completed by a suitably qualified technician.

1. Complete a full system reset

  1. Turn off the air conditioning system at the circuit breaker or isolator.
  2. Confirm that the tablet display switches off completely and is blank.
  3. Leave the air conditioning system powered off for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Power off the internet modem or router and unplug it for the same 10-minute period.
  5. Restore power to the modem or router and allow it to restart.
  6. Restore power to the air conditioning system.
  7. Allow a further 10 minutes for the tablet, indoor module and network connections to re-establish.
  8. Open the anywAiR application and check whether the FG3 error has cleared.
Important: Restarting only the tablet is not a complete reset. The air conditioning system must remain isolated long enough for the tablet display and communication components to power down fully.

2. Check the tablet date, time and time zone

Incorrect date, time or time-zone settings can prevent the tablet from reconnecting correctly.

  1. From the anywAiR screen, press the triangle navigation button to return to the tablet home screen.
  2. Swipe upward from the bottom of the screen to open the application menu.
  3. Select the Settings gear icon.
  4. Search for Time, then select Time zone.
  5. Choose Select time zone and select the correct location.
  6. Turn Use locale default off where required.
  7. Confirm the displayed date and time are correct. Adjust Set date and Set time manually if necessary.
  8. Return to the tablet home screen and reopen the anywAiR application.
The tablet may be supplied with Australian Western Standard Time as its default setting. Always confirm that the selected time zone matches the installation location.

3. Confirm the tablet is connected to Wi-Fi

  1. Open the tablet Settings menu.
  2. Search for and open Wi-Fi.
  3. Confirm that the correct home or site Wi-Fi network displays Connected.
  4. If it is not connected, select the correct network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
  5. Return to the home screen and reopen the anywAiR application.
  6. Confirm that the FG status or FG3 error has disappeared.

Apple mobile device checks

When the error relates to remote access through an iPhone or iPad:

  • Open Settings on the Apple device.
  • Select Apps, then select the anywAiR application.
  • Ensure Local Network access is enabled so the application can communicate over the home Wi-Fi network.
  • Ensure Mobile Data is enabled where remote access away from the home network is required.

4. If Error FG3 remains

If FG3 remains after the full power reset and tablet checks, the fault may involve the tablet, communication module, power supply, cabling or local network configuration.

Before contacting support, record:
  • The full error code shown on the tablet.
  • Whether the tablet is connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Whether the date, time and time zone are correct.
  • Whether the tablet display switched off during the 10-minute power isolation.
  • Any recent power outage, modem replacement or Wi-Fi password change.
  • Photographs or screenshots of the error and tablet network settings.
Do not repeatedly cycle power. If the communication fault continues, refer to the FG Fault Reset step-by-step guide attached to this article or contact Fujitsu General Service or Technical Support for further assistance.
This article provides general reset and user-level troubleshooting guidance. Product configuration may vary by installation. Electrical or roof-space inspection must be completed by qualified personnel.
