Installing or Updating the Advantage Air App

How to manually install the correct APK file using Google Chrome
If the Advantage Air app is not installed on your AnywAiR Ducted Controller, or the app needs to be updated, you can manually install it by downloading and installing the correct APK file through the controller's Google Chrome browser.
Important: Select the APK version that matches the app name and icon currently used on your controller. Installing the wrong version may prevent the application from operating correctly.

1. Identify Your System

  • On the wall-mounted AnywAiR touchscreen, locate the app that controls the air conditioning system.
  • Take note of the app's name and icon. This information determines which Advantage Air APK version is required.
  • Confirm that the controller is connected to Wi-Fi and that Google Chrome is available and up to date.

2. Download the APK File

  1. Open Google Chrome on the AnywAiR Ducted Controller.
  2. Go to the Android Apps download page provided by Advantage Air.
  3. Select and download the APK version that matches your system.

  • When prompted, tap Continue, then tap Allow.
  • If Chrome asks you to confirm the file download, tap OK.

3. Allow Installation from Chrome

  1. When the download is complete, tap Open.
  2. If an installation warning appears, tap Settings.
  3. Enable Allow from this source to permit Chrome to install the APK.
  4. Press the Back button on the controller's bottom navigation bar to return to the installation screen.

4. Install the App

  1. Tap Install.
  2. Wait for the installation to complete. This may take up to one minute.
  3. When the confirmation screen appears, select one of the following:
    • Open to launch the Advantage Air app immediately.
    • Done to close the installer.

5. After Installation

  • The Advantage Air app icon should appear on the controller's home screen.
  • Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to the ducted system.
  • Once configured, the controller can be used to manage zones, temperature and schedules through the Advantage Air interface.

6. Troubleshooting

Installer tip: For repeated field installations, keep the latest approved Advantage Air APK file on a USB drive so it is readily available when internet access is limited.
