Wi-Fi Ducted Controller Compatibility with Older Fujitsu Models

Important information about connecting current Wi-Fi controllers to earlier Fujitsu General ducted systems
Thank you for your enquiry regarding Wi-Fi controller compatibility for your Fujitsu General air conditioning system.

Compatibility with older models

Unfortunately, our current range of Wi-Fi controllers is not compatible with many older model units. The technology requirements and communication protocols used in earlier systems do not align with our current controller platforms.

Compatibility is determined by the specific indoor unit model and the controller connection supported by that system. A current Wi-Fi controller should not be purchased or installed unless the indoor unit model is confirmed as compatible.

Important: Similar-looking controllers or connection plugs do not guarantee compatibility. Installing an unsupported controller may result in the controller not operating or communicating with the air conditioner.

Before purchasing a controller

  • Locate the full indoor unit model number on the unit label, installation documentation or previous service records.
  • Check the exact model against the compatibility list.
  • Do not rely only on the outdoor unit model, system age or appearance of the existing wall controller.
  • Where the model is not listed, contact Fujitsu General Technical Support before purchasing equipment.
We understand the convenience that smart control offers and appreciate your interest. Where an existing system is not compatible, alternative third-party control solutions may also be unsuitable and should be assessed by a suitably qualified air conditioning or controls specialist.
