Setup video
1. Preparation
Before beginning, ensure:
- The IR Blaster is powered on and positioned within direct line-of-sight of the indoor air-conditioning unit.
- A stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network is available.
- The myanywAiR Next app is installed on your iPhone or Android device.
App download: Download for iPhone from the App Store. For Android, search for myanywAiR Next in the Google Play Store.
2. Connect the IR Blaster to Wi-Fi
| 1 | Open the myanywAiR Next app. |
| 2 | Tap the + icon or select Add Device. |
| 3 | Select IR Blaster from the device list. |
| 4 | Enter the name and password for the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. |
| 5 | Place the IR Blaster into pairing mode. The LED should flash rapidly. If it does not, press and hold the reset or pairing button for approximately five seconds. |
| 6 | Allow the app to locate and connect to the device, then wait for confirmation that the connection was successful. |
3. Link the IR Blaster to the Air Conditioner
- After Wi-Fi setup, select Add Air Conditioner.
- Choose the brand and model of the air conditioner.
- Allow the app to send a test signal to the indoor unit.
- If the unit responds by beeping or changing its indicator lights, tap Yes. If it does not respond, tap No so the app can test an alternate control code.
- Save the configuration and assign the device a clear name, such as Living Room AC.
4. Test and Configure
- Use the app to test the temperature, operating mode and fan-speed controls.
- Configure schedules, zones or supported smart-home integrations as required.
5. Share the Device and Manage Users
Swipe up on the device menu to open the settings drawer, then select Share Device / Manage Users.

The device owner can:
- Share the device with another user.
- Transfer ownership of the device.
- Set minimum and maximum temperatures for cooling and heating.
- Restrict shared users so they can only change the air conditioner state or share the device.
- Remove a user's device access.
Owner access: Ownership and user restrictions should only be changed by the person responsible for managing the device.
6. Troubleshooting
| Issue | Recommended action |
|---|---|
| Pairing fails | Reset the IR Blaster by pressing and holding the reset button for approximately 10 seconds, then restart the pairing process. |
| Device cannot be found | Confirm the phone is connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network during setup. |
| Air conditioner does not respond | Confirm the IR Blaster faces the indoor unit directly and that there are no obstructions between the devices. |
| Controls operate incorrectly | Repeat the air-conditioner linking process and test the alternate control codes offered by the app. |
