Overview

The Keycard Interlock Function in Fujitsu General’s VRF system provides a smart solution for energy management, commonly used in hotels and guest accommodations. This feature ensures that air conditioning and lighting systems operate only when a keycard is inserted, helping to reduce energy consumption when rooms are unoccupied.

Key Features of the Keycard Interlock Function

  1. Automatic On/Off Operation:

    • Activates air conditioning and lighting systems when a keycard is inserted.

    • Automatically turns off these systems when the keycard is removed.

  2. Energy Efficiency:

    • Prevents energy wastage by ensuring that air conditioning and lighting are only operational when the room is in use.

  3. Integration with External Devices:

    • Works seamlessly with external keycard systems for synchronized operation.

  4. Customizable Settings:

    • Allows users to configure operational parameters such as delay timers for turning off the system.

Use Cases

  • Hotels: Ensures that air conditioning and lighting are switched off when guests leave the room.

  • Conference Rooms: Controls operation based on occupancy for better energy management.

  • Office Spaces: Provides an energy-efficient solution for spaces with intermittent occupancy.
