Overview

The Low Noise Mode in Fujitsu General’s VRF system ensures quiet operation by reducing the noise levels of the outdoor unit during specific times, such as nighttime or in noise-sensitive areas. This feature is ideal for residential neighborhoods, areas crowded with buildings, or locations near roads where low sound levels are required.

Features of Low Noise Mode

  1. Automatic Noise Reduction:

    • Utilizes optical sensors to monitor environmental conditions and automatically adjust the outdoor unit’s operation for reduced noise.

    • Supports both operational priority and noise priority settings.

  2. Customizable Noise Levels:

    • Offers two levels of noise reduction:

      • Level 1: -3 dB

      • Level 2: -5 dB

  3. Nighttime Optimization:

    • Specifically designed for nighttime operation to ensure minimal disturbance.

  4. Selectable Modes:

    • Quiet Priority Mode: Reduces noise levels with a slight decrease in performance.

    • Capacity Priority Mode: Balances noise reduction with maintaining higher performance levels.

Use Cases

  • Residential Areas: Ensures comfort and compliance with local noise regulations during nighttime.

  • Urban Environments: Minimizes noise disturbances in densely populated areas.

  • Noise-Sensitive Zones: Suitable for schools, hospitals, and office buildings near public areas.

Setting Up Low Noise Mode

Follow these steps to enable or configure Low Noise Mode:

  1. Access Settings on the Outdoor Unit PCB:

    • Locate the outdoor unit’s printed circuit board (PCB).

    • Identify the noise mode DIP switch settings.

  2. Select Noise Level:

    • Mode No. 42:

      • 00: Level 1 (-3 dB)

      • 01: Level 2 (-5 dB)

  3. Choose Noise Operation Pattern:

    • Mode No. 40:

      • 00: Quiet Priority Mode

      • 01: Capacity Priority Mode

  4. Save and Activate Settings:

    • Confirm and save the settings to enable Low Noise Mode.
