It’s not recommended to leave doors or windows open while your air conditioner is operating.
Air conditioners are designed to cool or heat enclosed spaces efficiently by circulating and conditioning the air within the room. When doors or windows are left open, conditioned air escapes and warm or humid air enters, forcing the system to work much harder to maintain the set temperature.

This can result in:

  • Reduced efficiency and higher energy consumption.

  • Longer run times, increasing wear on components.

  • Inconsistent comfort levels across the space.

For best performance:

  • Keep doors and windows closed while the unit is running.

  • Ensure adequate insulation and close blinds or curtains to maintain indoor temperature.

  • If fresh air is required, use the air exchange or ventilation function if your system supports it.
