AnywAiR Ducted Controller
Enabling Local Network Control on iPhone or iPad
Allow the myanywAiR app to communicate with your controller over the local Wi-Fi network
Local Network permission allows the app to communicate directly with the AnywAiR Ducted Controller while your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This can also support local control during a temporary internet outage.
Step-by-step instructions
| 1 | Open Settings. From the Home Screen, tap the Settings app. |
| 2 | Find the app settings. Scroll through the installed apps and select AnywAiR or myanywAiR, depending on the app version installed. |
| 3 | Enable Local Network access. Locate Local Network and switch the setting ON. The toggle will appear green when enabled. |
| 4 | Confirm the Wi-Fi connection. Make sure the iPhone or iPad is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the AnywAiR Ducted Controller. |
Changed your router or Wi-Fi network? Reconnect the controller using the Wi-Fi setup process in the app before testing local control.
Additional tips
- If the controller does not respond, force close the app and open it again.
- Enable Location Services for the app when using geofencing or automation features.
- On corporate or mesh Wi-Fi networks, client isolation may prevent local devices from communicating with each other.
Why Local Network access is important
| Benefit | What it provides |
|---|---|
| Direct communication | Allows the mobile device to communicate directly with the ducted controller on the same network. |
| Faster response | Reduces reliance on cloud communication for local commands. |
| Local operation | Supports controller access during a temporary internet outage when local Wi-Fi remains available. |
Confirmation: After Local Network access is enabled, return to the myanywAiR app and test a setting change while the mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the controller.
