The outdoor control PCB includes an onboard diagnostic and configuration interface. Technicians can use the MODE / EXIT, SELECT and ENTER buttons with the 7-segment display to monitor operating data, adjust selected functions and review stored errors without connecting a separate service tool.
Electrical safety: The outdoor unit must remain energised for many monitoring and setting procedures. Access is restricted to suitably qualified personnel using appropriate electrical safety controls and personal protective equipment.

Basic navigation: Press MODE / EXIT until the required mode appears, press ENTER, use SELECT to choose the item number, and press ENTER again to view or confirm the value. Use MODE / EXIT to return to the previous level or normal display.

Performance impact: Energy-saving and low-noise settings can reduce available cooling or heating capacity. Confirm the site requirement before changing these settings and document the final values on the commissioning or service record.

Do not clear diagnostic information prematurely. Record the active error, stored error history and relevant monitor values before clearing data. Reset functions do not repair the underlying fault.

7. Recommended field procedure

1Record the normal display and active error. Note the operating state before entering a function menu.
2Review F9 error history. Record all stored errors before clearing any data.
3Use F1 monitor data. Compare relevant temperatures, pressures, compressor speed and fan operation with the service manual.
4Adjust only confirmed F2 settings. Record the original value and the revised value.
5Verify operation. Exit to the normal display and confirm the unit operates without recurring errors.
Service record: Document the model, serial number, original settings, modified values, stored error history and final operating condition. This information supports future diagnosis and prevents unintended configuration changes.
