Energy Saving - Human Sensor Explanation
How the human sensor automatically adjusts set temperature when a room is unoccupied
The Energy Saving Human Sensor detects movement in the occupied space. If no movement is detected for a period of time, the air conditioner automatically modifies the set temperature to reduce energy consumption. When movement is detected again, normal operation resumes.
1. How the Human Sensor operates

| Movement detected again | The unit returns to normal operation and the original set temperature. |
Important: The Human Sensor is an energy-saving function. It does not switch the air conditioner off after 20 minutes; it changes the operating set temperature while the room appears unoccupied.
2. Temperature adjustment
Cooling / Dry operation
+2°C
The set temperature is raised by 2°C after approximately 20 minutes without detected movement.
Heating operation
-4°C
The set temperature is lowered by 4°C after approximately 20 minutes without detected movement.
Example: If cooling is set to 24°C, the Energy Saving function may temporarily operate at an equivalent set point of 26°C while no movement is detected. If heating is set to 22°C, it may temporarily operate at 18°C.
3. Human Sensor detection range
The detection area varies by indoor-unit model and installation position. Always refer to the installation manual for the applicable model.

Detection limitations: The sensor must be able to detect movement within its viewing area. Room layout, furniture, partitions, sensor position and the person's location can affect detection.
4. Remote controller operation
- Press the SENSOR button on the remote controller.
- When enabled, ENERGY SAVING is displayed beneath the temperature indication on the remote-controller screen.
- Press the SENSOR button again to deactivate the Energy Saving Human Sensor program.
Default setting: The source material notes that this function is activated on the remote controller by default and will be on again after a controller reset or battery replacement.
5. Quick troubleshooting

| Customer reports the room temperature changes by itself | Check whether the Human Sensor / Energy Saving function is enabled on the remote controller. |
| Energy Saving does not activate | Confirm the function is enabled and allow at least 20 minutes with no detected movement. |
| Function operates unexpectedly | Check the sensor detection area and whether normal occupant movement is outside the sensor's effective range. |
