UTY-RVNYN Error Code Check

How to interpret fault information on the 3-wire remote controller
The UTY-RVNYN 3-wire remote controller can display faults relating to the remote controller itself or faults reported by an indoor unit. The information shown on the screen differs depending on where the fault has been detected.

1. Remote controller error

When the fault relates to the UTY-RVNYN remote controller, the error screen displays:

Display itemMeaning
Remote controller Code : XXXXXThe fault code relates to the remote controller.
Important: Do not interpret a remote-controller code as an indoor-unit address. Record the complete code exactly as shown before continuing diagnosis.

2. Indoor unit error

When an indoor unit reports a fault, the remote controller displays both the address of the relevant indoor unit and the error code.

Display itemMeaning
R.C. address : 00Address number of the indoor unit associated with the fault.
Code : XXXXXError code reported for that indoor unit.

3. Recommended service check

1Record the complete error code shown on the UTY-RVNYN display.
2If an R.C. address is displayed, record the address together with the error code so the affected indoor unit can be identified.
3Where applicable, confirm the fault indication at the outdoor unit. Some models use outdoor PCB LEDs to indicate fault status.
4Refer to the relevant service manual, controller operation manual and installation manual for the specific model being serviced.

4. Quick interpretation

What is displayedWhere to investigate
Remote controller Code : XXXXXRemote controller / controller communication or controller-related fault.
R.C. address : XX
Code : XXXXX

Service tip: Always capture both the displayed address and error code before resetting power or clearing a fault. This information is required to accurately identify the affected unit and fault category.
