Wired Remote Controller Wiring
2-wire non-polar and 3-wire polarity-sensitive controller connections
Use the correct wiring method for the remote controller type. Two-wire controllers use a non-polar connection, while three-wire controllers are polarity sensitive and must be connected to the matching terminals.
2-wire wired remote controllers
The two-wire wired remote controller uses a non-polar 2-wire connection.
Key point: The two remote-controller conductors can be connected either way around. Polarity does not need to be observed.

3-wire wired remote controllers
Three-wire remote controllers are polarity sensitive.
Important: Connect terminals 1, 2 and 3 at the indoor unit to the corresponding 1, 2 and 3 terminals on the wired remote controller. Do not interchange the conductors.
