The Human Sensor is located on the front of Fujitsu’s KMTC, KMCA,KMTA & KUCA models. This device detects movement and therefore can tell the aircon system if a room occupied or unoccupied.
The Human Sensor detects when a room has been unoccupied for over 20 minutes and then goes into an energy saving mode. Once the sensor detects the room is occupied again it returns to its normal operation.
The Energy saving mode: once the Human Sensor detects the room has been left unoccupied for 20 minutes it will automatically raise the set temperature by 2 degrees in cooling mode or lower the set temperature by 4 degrees in heating mode. (From the set temperature) . This in turn can save power as the air con unit will not have to work as hard to reach the set point when the room is unoccupied.
