Overview

After performing a factory reset on the Fujitsu AnywAiR ducted control tablet, users may encounter operational issues with the AnywAiR app or receive a “Vinculum Accessory Test” notification.
This issue arises because the factory reset removes essential Fujitsu system applications required for the tablet to interface correctly with the control box.

The following procedure outlines how to fully restore tablet functionality for continued operation of the AnywAiR system.

1. Symptom

After reset, the following message may appear on screen:

“Vinculum Accessory Test – No installed apps work with this USB accessory.”

This indicates that the tablet no longer recognizes the control box connection due to missing Fujitsu service applications.

2. Root Cause

The factory reset removes pre-installed system applications essential for communication between the AnywAiR controller and control tablet:

  • FGAssist

  • AnywAiR

  • FGWakeUp

Without these, the tablet cannot communicate with the Wi-Fi control module.

3. Resolution – Restore Procedure

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Ensure Connectivity

    • Confirm the tablet has an active Wi-Fi internet connection.

    • Sign in or create a Google Play Store account if not already set up.

  2. Reinstall Required Applications

    • Open the Google Play Store.

    • Download and install the following three apps in order:

      1. FGAssist

        • Launch and activate when prompted.

      2. AnywAiR

        • This is the main user interface for system operation.

      3. FGWakeUp

        • Supports startup communication between the tablet and control box.

  3. Confirm Successful Installation

    • Once installed, restart the tablet.

    • Upon reboot, open the AnywAiR app and verify that the air conditioning system connects and displays correctly.

4. Post-Restoration Validation

  • The tablet should automatically detect the connected indoor unit through the FG control box.

  • Ensure all zones, temperature readings, and control features are responsive.

  • If issues persist, confirm that the control box USB connection is properly seated and that FGAssist has been granted all required permissions.

5. Technical Notes

  • The restore process is only required following a factory reset or system wipe.

  • Do not remove or disable the FGAssist or FGWakeUp applications once restored, as these are necessary for reliable communication.

  • For remote or advanced diagnostics, reference FG Status Code Guide (see related FG codes FG1–FG3 for communication issues).
