Setting Up or Reconnecting Your anywAiR App
If your air conditioner is not responding through an anywAiR app, the issue is commonly related to the Wi-Fi connection, the app selected, account access, or the device setup process.
Before you begin
- Confirm you have downloaded the correct anywAiR app for your product.
- Make sure your phone or tablet is connected to your home Wi-Fi.
- Have your home Wi-Fi name and password available.
- Remain close to the air conditioner, controller or Wi-Fi adapter during setup.
- Turn on Bluetooth and allow location or local-network access if the app requests it.
1. Download the correct app
Download the app identified in the instructions supplied with your air conditioner, controller or Wi-Fi adapter. Depending on your product, the app name and icon may be different.
- Use the QR code on the product, packaging or installation guide where available.
- Alternatively, search for the exact app name in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- You can also visit myanywair.com for available anywAiR information and links.
2. Place the device into Wi-Fi setup mode
Follow the instructions shown in your app to place the air conditioner, wall controller or Wi-Fi adapter into pairing or setup mode.
The method varies by product. It may involve pressing and holding a Wi-Fi, setup or reset button, selecting a Wi-Fi menu on the controller, or following a sequence using the remote control.
3. Connect the device to your home Wi-Fi
- Open the correct anywAiR app.
- Select the option to add, connect or set up a device.
- Follow the instructions displayed in the app.
- Select your home Wi-Fi network when prompted.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password exactly as shown on your modem or router. Wi-Fi passwords are case-sensitive.
- Keep the app open until setup is complete.
Some products connect through Bluetooth or your local network. Other products may ask you to temporarily connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network created by the air conditioner or adapter. Follow the instructions shown in the app, as the screens and network names vary between products.
4. Sign in or create an account
If the app requires an account, sign in using your existing details or select the option to register.
- Use an email address you can access.
- Check your inbox and junk or spam folder for any verification email.
- Complete email verification before attempting to add the device again.
- If you have forgotten your password, use the password-reset option in the app.
5. Add or register the air conditioner
Once connected and signed in, follow the app prompts to add or register your air conditioner or controller.
Depending on the product, you may be asked to scan a QR code, scan a barcode, enter a registration code, select the detected device, or confirm the air conditioner model.
6. Complete any product-specific setup
Some anywAiR products require an additional step after Wi-Fi setup. For example, an infrared controller may need to learn commands from the original air conditioner remote control. Ducted controllers and built-in Wi-Fi systems generally use a different process.
Only complete these additional steps when they are displayed in your app or included in the instructions for your product.
If the app still will not connect
- Confirm you are using the correct app for your product.
- Confirm your phone is connected to the same home Wi-Fi network you want the air conditioner to use.
- Check that the network is 2.4 GHz or that your dual-band router allows 2.4 GHz devices to connect.
- Re-enter the Wi-Fi password carefully.
- Move closer to the air conditioner, controller or Wi-Fi adapter.
- Temporarily turn off mobile data or any VPN while completing setup.
- Restart your phone and power cycle the air conditioner or Wi-Fi device, then try again.
- Check whether your app, phone operating system and router firmware are up to date.
