When customers call saying their air conditioner won’t work via the myanywAiR app, it’s almost always due to incorrect setup.
The most common causes are:

  • The Wi-Fi connection has not been configured first, or

  • The customer has installed the wrong app (for example, the ducted anywAiR Technology app instead of the wall split version).

Before troubleshooting, confirm they are using the correct myanywAiR app and following the correct Wi-Fi setup sequence.


Critical Setup Order

Wi-Fi must be set up before logging in and adding the air conditioner to the app.
If this is not done, the system will not connect.


Step-by-Step Overview

1. Download the App

  • Instruct the customer to download the myanywAiR app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

  • Direct links can be found at myanywair.com.

2. Connect to the Device Network

  • Go to Wi-Fi settings on the phone, tablet, or laptop.

  • Connect to the temporary network displayed as DEVICE_xxxxxx.

  • This is the Wi-Fi signal broadcasted by the anywAiR device itself.

3. Configure Wi-Fi in the App

  1. Open the app and select “Add Device”.

  2. Press Start to begin setup.

  3. Choose “Automatic” configuration.

  4. Select the customer’s home Wi-Fi network.

  5. Enter the Wi-Fi password and tap Connect.

  6. Watch the LED on the device:

    • Green (steady): Ready

    • Green (blinking): Checking configuration

    • Yellow (blinking): Configuring

    • Red (blinking): Connecting

    • Off: Connected successfully

4. Create or Log into an Account

  • If new, tap Register and complete the registration form.

  • Check the inbox and click the verification link in the email to activate the account.
    (Page 3 shows the process clearly.)

5. Add and Register the Device

  • Log in, press the “+” symbol, and choose to add the new device.

  • The customer can either:

    • Scan the barcode from the sticker on the device, or

    • Manually enter the registration code (XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX).

  • Once registered, tap OK to complete.

6. Configure IR (Infrared) Control

  • Hold the button on the back of the anywAiR device for 3 seconds until the LED turns white.

  • Point the air conditioner’s remote control at the device and press the On/Off button.

  • LED feedback:

    • Green blink: Configuration successful

    • Red blink: Retry setup

7. Position the Device

  • The device can be installed:

    • Next to the AC unit

    • Beneath or in front of the AC unit

    • On a tabletop (within IR line of sight)

Common Support Tips

  • Confirm they are using myanywAiR (not the ducted controller app).

  • Remind them that Wi-Fi setup must be done first before logging in or registering the air conditioner.

  • If the LED remains red or flashing, instruct them to:

    • Check they’re using 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (not 5 GHz).

    • Ensure the password is entered exactly (case-sensitive).

    • Power cycle the device and try setup again.
