Wall control sensors cannot be calibrated or have offsets applied generally.
In the case of the models AOTxxLJBYL/LMADL offsets can be applied via jumper/DIP switch settings on the indoor curcuit boards.
Our new wall controller UTY-RNRYT5 is the only controller whereby an offset can be applied. Ensure the backup DIP switch is set to the on position on the back of the controller, enable the RC sensor on the wall controller and the sesnor reading can be displayed on the screen by setting it to 'visable'. Once complete, follow the below to apply an offset:
Refer to the installation manual for further direction.
6.3.12. Room Temp. Offset Setting
• Uniformly corrects detection variations in the wired remote controller’s
temperature sensor.
• Uniformly corrects differences between the actual temperature and the
temperature detected by the wired remote controller.
NOTES:
The following situations where uniform correction is not possible are not
covered under the warranty for room temperature correction.
1 If a measurement variation between the temperature detected by
the temperature sensor and the actual temperature around the wired
remote controller occurs due to the effects of direct sunlight
2 If a measurement variation between the temperature detected by
the temperature sensor and the actual temperature around the wired
remote controller occurs due to the effects of the wall temperature
3 If a difference occurs between the temperature detected by the temperature
sensor and the temperature in and around the center of the
room due to the effects of air currents
1. Hold the power button for 5 seconds or more on the “Initial Setting”
screen. The “Room Temp. Offset” screen is displayed. Set the
correction temperature by touching [ ] or [ ]. The correction
temperature can be set from -4.0 °C to 4.0 °C in 0.5 °C increments.
Touch the [OK] to return to the “Initial Setting” screen.
