Overview

Most Fujitsu wall controllers are factory-calibrated and do not support manual temperature calibration or offset adjustment. However, specific indoor unit models and the latest controller generation allow limited offset correction to harmonize perceived and actual room temperatures.

1. General Rule

  • Wall controller temperature sensors cannot be calibrated or adjusted manually under normal circumstances.

  • Any deviation between displayed and actual room temperature is typically the result of:

    • Installation position (e.g., near sunlight or airflow),

    • Wall thermal mass,

    • Air circulation patterns within the space.

2. Models Supporting Offset via Indoor PCB

For indoor units within the AOTxxLJBYL / LMADL series:

  • Offset adjustments can be made directly on the indoor circuit board.

  • These adjustments are achieved using jumper or DIP switch settings provided on the PCB.

  • Always refer to the model-specific service manual before attempting modification.

3. New Wall Controller UTY-RNRYT5 – Offset Feature

The UTY-RNRYT5 wired remote controller introduces software-based temperature offset functionality.
To enable and configure this feature:

Activation Procedure

  1. Set the Backup DIP Switch to ON

    • Located on the rear of the wall controller.

    • This enables access to temperature offset functionality.

  2. Enable RC Sensor

    • Within the controller settings, activate the Remote Controller (RC) sensor.

    • Set the “Sensor Reading” display to Visible on the main screen.

  3. Access Offset Menu

    • Hold the Power button for 5 seconds or longer from the Initial Setting screen.

    • The “Room Temp. Offset” screen will appear.

  4. Adjust Offset

    • Use the [ + ] or [ – ] touch keys to apply uniform correction.

    • Adjustment range: –4.0 °C to +4.0 °C in 0.5 °C increments.

    • Touch [OK] to confirm and return to the initial settings.

  5. Refer to Installation Manual Section 6.3.12 for further instruction and visual reference.

4. Operational Notes and Warranty Guidance

Uniform temperature correction is designed to offset minor sensor detection variance only.
The following conditions are not covered under warranty for temperature discrepancy correction:

  1. Temperature difference caused by direct sunlight on the controller.

  2. Temperature difference caused by wall surface temperature behind the controller.

  3. Airflow or convection effects causing non-uniform room air temperature.
