Applicable products

The AIRSTAGE logo change applies to the following product groups:

  • RAC / PAC
  • VRF
  • Options and accessories

Logo change schedule

Product groupProduction timingStatus / notes
RAC / PACFrom October productionSwitching lot number was to be advised separately. Product changeover is being managed as a running factory change.
VRF and OptionsFrom January 2023 productionDetailed changeover information was to be communicated separately.
Mixed-logo shipments are normal during the transition.
Factory stock produced before and after the branding change will continue to move through the supply chain. As a result, an indoor unit carrying the Fujitsu logo may be supplied with an outdoor unit carrying the AIRSTAGE logo, or vice versa.

What customers and installers need to know

  • The branding change does not mean the units are incompatible.
  • The model name remains unchanged as part of the logo change.
  • A Fujitsu-logo indoor unit and an AIRSTAGE-logo outdoor unit may legitimately be supplied as a matched system during the transition period.
  • Mixed branding is expected while older factory and warehouse stock is exhausted.
  • The logo shown on the product should not be used by itself to determine compatibility. Always confirm compatibility by the actual model numbers.

Why mixed branding may occur

The factory introduced the AIRSTAGE logo as a running change. Existing Fujitsu-logo stock produced before the change continued to be shipped over subsequent months. At the same time, newly produced stock began arriving with AIRSTAGE branding.

Inventory levels and uneven stock turnover between indoor and outdoor units can therefore result in one component carrying the Fujitsu logo and the matching component carrying the AIRSTAGE logo.

Customer reassurance

Where the indoor and outdoor model numbers form an approved combination, different logos on the equipment do not affect the system's operation, specification or intended compatibility.

If there is a compatibility concern

Do not determine compatibility from the logo alone. Record the full indoor and outdoor model numbers and confirm that the combination is approved for use together.

Key point: During the branding transition, a mixed Fujitsu/AIRSTAGE logo system is not, by itself, evidence that the wrong equipment has been supplied.
