VRF Outdoor Unit - Factory DIP Switch Settings Reference

This article provides a model reference for the factory DIP switch configuration of selected Fujitsu General VRF outdoor units.

Quick Answer
  • Factory DIP switch settings are model-specific.
  • Check the outdoor unit model before changing Set-1 to Set-5.
  • The refrigerant circuit address is set using the rotary switches shown alongside the DIP switch banks.
  • Do not copy a DIP configuration from a different capacity or VRF generation.
Important: These are factory-setting references. Before altering any DIP switch, isolate power and confirm the applicable service or installation manual for the exact outdoor unit model.

Refrigerant Circuit Address

The refrigerant circuit address is set using the pair of rotary switches shown at the right-hand side of each factory setting chart.

When replacing a PCB or correcting a configuration, record the existing refrigerant circuit address before changing any switches and restore the correct address after the PCB or setting work is complete.

Before Changing DIP Switches

  1. Confirm the complete outdoor unit model number.
  2. Confirm the VRF generation: V-II, V-III, J-II, J-IIS, J-III or J-IIIL.
  3. Isolate power before physically changing DIP switch or rotary switch positions.
  4. Compare Set-1 through Set-5 with the applicable factory-setting chart.
  5. Confirm the refrigerant circuit address.
  6. Record the original settings before making changes.
  7. Restore power only after confirming all switch positions are correct.
PCB replacement: Do not assume a replacement outdoor PCB is supplied with the correct DIP switch configuration for the installed model. Always compare the replacement PCB settings with the factory configuration for the exact model before operating the system.
