1. Before You Begin
Ensure:
The anywAiR Zone Controller is already connected and configured.
You have the latest version of the myanywAiR app (available for iOS or Android).
Your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the controller during setup or updates.
2. Renaming Zones via the App
Follow these steps:
Open the myanywAiR app on your smartphone or tablet.
On the Home Screen, select your Zone Controller.
Tap the Settings icon (⚙️) in the upper right corner.
Choose “Zone Setup” or “Manage Zones.”
You’ll see a list of all current zones — for example:
Zone 1
Zone 2
Zone 3
Tap on the zone name you want to change.
Select “Edit Name” (or similar wording depending on the app version).
Enter your preferred name (e.g., Living Room, Kitchen, Office).
Tap “Save” or “Done.”
The change will appear immediately across your app interface and on any linked devices.
3. Tips for Naming Zones
Use clear, descriptive names (e.g., Kids Bedroom, Dining Area).
Avoid special characters or emojis — simple text ensures compatibility with voice assistants like Alexa or Google Home.
If you use multiple controllers, prefix the zone with its location (e.g., Upstairs – Master Bedroom).
4. Confirming the Update
After saving:
Return to the main control screen.
Verify that each zone now displays its updated name.
If not immediately reflected, refresh the app or close and reopen it.
5. Troubleshooting
| Issue | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Zone name doesn’t save | App not synced with controller | Ensure Wi-Fi and cloud connectivity are active |
| Duplicate names appear | Cached settings | Refresh app or clear cache |
| Zone missing from list | Controller not updated | Perform a quick system refresh via settings menu |
