anywAiR Zone Controller Remote Access
Connect the controller to the myanywAiR app for remote system access
Setup requirements, pairing steps, connectivity testing and common troubleshooting checks.
The anywAiR Zone Controller can connect to the cloud, allowing compatible systems to be viewed and controlled remotely through the applicable myanywAiR app on iOS or Android.
1. System overview
The anywAiR Zone Controller connects the air conditioning system to the cloud, allowing remote access through the applicable myanywAiR app.
Remote access allows users to:
- Adjust zone temperatures, airflow and schedules remotely.
- Monitor system operating modes and performance information in real time.
- Use supported smart-assistant integrations, including Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
Connection requirement: Remote functionality depends on a stable Wi-Fi network and an active internet connection.
2. Prerequisites
Before enabling remote access, confirm the following:
| 1 | The anywAiR Zone Controller is fully installed and configured with the air conditioning system. |
| 2 | The controller is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. A 5 GHz-only network is not supported for this setup. |
| 3 | The correct app has been installed for the controller generation: myanywAiR Next or myanywAiR. |
| 4 | A myanywAiR cloud account has been created, or the user can sign in to an existing account. |
App download
Download myanywAiR Next for iOS For Android, search for the applicable myanywAiR app in Google Play.3. Setting up remote access
Follow these steps to enable remote access through the app:
| 1 | Launch the myanywAiR app on the mobile device. |
| 2 | Tap + Add Device or Setup New Controller. |
| 3 | Select anywAiR Zone Controller. |
| 4 | Follow the app prompts to connect to the home Wi-Fi network. |
| 5 | Place the controller into pairing mode and confirm that its indicator light is flashing. |
| 6 | Enter the Wi-Fi credentials and complete the pairing process. |
| 7 | Once paired, the app registers the controller to the user's cloud account and enables remote access. |
After registration is complete, compatible zones, operating modes and schedules can be controlled from any location with internet connectivity.
4. Testing remote connectivity
- Disconnect the mobile device from the same Wi-Fi network as the controller by switching to mobile data or another external Wi-Fi network.
- Open the myanywAiR app and confirm that the system can still be viewed and controlled.
- Confirm that changes made in the app are reflected by the system.
If remote access fails: Recheck Wi-Fi signal strength and confirm that the router or firewall is not blocking the controller's cloud communication.
5. Troubleshooting remote access
| Issue | Possible cause | Recommended action |
|---|---|---|
| App cannot find the controller | Controller is not in pairing mode | Hold the reset or pairing button for 5-10 seconds, or until the indicator light begins flashing. |
| Device drops offline | Weak Wi-Fi signal or router interruption | Improve Wi-Fi coverage by repositioning the router or installing a suitable Wi-Fi extender. |
| No remote control when off-site | Cloud account or controller link is incomplete | Sign out and back in to the app. If the issue remains, repeat the controller pairing process. |
| Zones are not responding | Incorrect zone or control mapping | Review and reconfigure the zone setup in the controller or app. |
6. Security and account access
The anywAiR platform uses encrypted communication between the mobile device, controller and cloud service. Access is limited to users who sign in with valid account credentials.
Account security: Use a unique password, do not share account credentials unnecessarily and sign out of devices that should no longer have access to the system.
