Warranty Cards

Domestic, VRF and Process Cooling warranty categories
Use the applicable warranty card for the installation type and application.
This article provides a quick reference to the four warranty cards and the supporting information required for warranty registration or claims.

1. The four warranty cards

Mixed applications: If an installation combines application types, such as partial process cooling, use the more restrictive warranty card unless written approval specifies otherwise.

2. Warranty registration and proof of purchase

Warranty registration may be completed through the normal registration channel. Supporting information should include:

  • Tax invoice showing model and serial number(s), installation address and commissioning date.
  • Dealer / installer details and licence numbers where applicable.
  • Appropriate warranty card retained by the customer.
Australia: The current GENERAL Australia warranty page states that domestic air conditioning systems sold in Australia are covered by a 5 year full parts and labour warranty, with claim and registration information available through the GENERAL Help Centre.
