1. Overview

It has been identified that some ARTG65LHTA ducted units were shipped with a factory setting mismatch between the attached remote controller type and the main PCB DIP switch configuration.

  • The attached remote controller is the 3-wire type.

  • The factory DIP switch setting on the main PCB was incorrectly set to 2-wire type.

This mismatch may result in communication issues between the controller and the indoor unit if not corrected.

2. Model Information

Applicable ProductRange
ARTG65LHTASerial Nos. T000001 – T000352
Service Unit NumberNameRemarks
Old: 9709685679K16GY-2000HSE-C1-SVUse this product after switching DIP switch 1 to “3-wire type.”
New: 9709686270K16GY-2000HSE-C1-SVFactory setting for DIP switch 1 is already “3-wire type.”

3. Corrective Action (Countermeasure)

To ensure correct operation with the attached 3-wire controller, the DIP switch (SW1) on the main PCB must be set to the 3-wire position as follows:

Steps to Correct DIP Switch Setting

  1. Isolate power to the indoor unit.

  2. Locate the main PCB inside the ARTG65LHTA unit.

  3. Find DIP switch 1 (SW1) on the board (see images below).

  4. Move the switch from “2WIRE” to “3WIRE.”

  5. Restore power and verify controller operation.

4. Visual Reference

Main PCB of ARTG65LHTA

The DIP switch is located near connector R309 – C305 on the main PCB.

Switch Identification:

  • Label: SW1

  • Options: 2WIRE / 3WIRE

  • Correct position: 3WIRE

5. Additional Notes

  • This correction must be made before system commissioning.

  • Ensure power is fully isolated before accessing or adjusting DIP switches.

  • Only qualified service personnel should perform this modification.

  • Future production (service unit no. 9709686270 and onward) has this correction applied at the factory.
