Activation of Optional Sensors – UTY-CDPXZC Zone Controller Interface

Overview

The UTY-CDPXZC Zone Controller Interface supports the connection of optional temperature sensors for individual zone temperature monitoring and control.
By default, these sensors are disabled and must be manually enabled through the AR-WDD1E wired wall controller.

This article outlines the step-by-step procedure for activating the optional sensors.

1. Requirements

  • Zone Controller Interface: UTY-CDPXZC

  • Wired Wall Controller: AR-WDD1E

  • Optional Sensors Installed and connected correctly to the zone module terminals

2. Purpose

Enabling the optional sensors allows the system to:

  • Detect and utilize zone temperature inputs from the connected sensors.

  • Provide individual zone temperature feedback for improved control accuracy.

  • Display sensor readings on the controller (depending on configuration).

3. Procedure – How to Enable Optional Sensors

Follow the steps below using the AR-WDD1E controller:

  1. Access the Menu

    • Press the Menu button twice.

  2. Enter the Service Menu

    • Press and hold both top buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.

    • The Service (2/2) screen will appear.

  3. Access Zone Settings

    • On the Service (2/2) screen, select “Zone Initial Setting” and press Enter.

  4. Enable Optional Sensor

    • Scroll to “Connection State of Op. Sensor”.

    • Change the setting to “Enable”.

    • Confirm the selection.

  5. Exit and Save

    • Press Back or Menu to return to the main screen.

    • The controller will automatically store the new configuration.

4. Confirmation

Once enabled:

  • The system will begin recognizing input from the connected optional sensors.

  • Each zone configured with a sensor will now operate based on its individual temperature reading.

  • If no sensor is detected despite being enabled, verify the wiring and terminal connections on the CDPXZC interface.
