Overview
If you are setting up your FGLair Wi-Fi connection for the first time, or if you need to reset your existing connection to pair with a new router or account, you will need to initialise the WLAN adaptor.
This process restores the adaptor to its factory default state and clears any previous Wi-Fi configuration.
1. Applicable Models
This procedure applies to:
External WLAN adaptors (plug-in type)
Built-in WLAN modules (integrated in the indoor unit front panel)
2. Steps to Initialise the WLAN Adaptor
For External or Built-In Type
Press and hold the Setting button on the WLAN adaptor (or on the front panel for built-in models) for 10 seconds.
The initialisation process begins when all LED lamps flash three times simultaneously at 0.5-second intervals.
After the LEDs flash, LED 1 (green) will continue to flash in the pattern:
On: 2 seconds
Off: 0.5 seconds
After approximately 60 seconds, the LEDs will return to their normal pattern:
LED 1 (green): ON
LED 2 (orange): Flashing (on/off every 2 seconds)
At this stage, the adaptor has been successfully initialised and is ready for pairing with the FGLair app.
3. LED Status Reference
| LED Indicator | Colour | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| LED 1 | Green | Power / connection indicator |
| LED 2 | Orange | Communication or configuration indicator |
| Both LEDs flash together | — | Initialisation in progress |
| LED 1 solid, LED 2 blinking | — | Ready for setup or Wi-Fi pairing |
4. What Happens During Initialisation
The adaptor deletes any saved Wi-Fi credentials (SSID and password).
The adaptor reverts to setup mode, allowing the FGLair app to detect it as a new device.
You can now reconnect the air conditioner to your Wi-Fi network using the app setup wizard.
5. After Initialisation
Reopen the FGLair App.
Follow the on-screen instructions to add a new device.
When prompted, select your Wi-Fi network and enter your password to complete pairing.
Tip: If the adaptor doesn’t appear during setup, wait one minute and repeat the pairing process.
Avoid turning off power during initialisation.
6. Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Possible Cause | Action |
|---|---|---|
| LEDs don’t flash when button is held | Button not pressed long enough | Hold for at least 10 seconds |
| LEDs remain off | No power to indoor unit | Check power supply |
| LEDs flash continuously | Initialisation incomplete | Repeat procedure |
7. Summary
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Hold Setting button for 10 seconds |
| 2 | Wait for LEDs to flash 3 times simultaneously |
| 3 | Confirm LED 1 flashes (2s on / 0.5s off) |
| 4 | Wait 60 seconds for LEDs to return to normal |
| 5 | Reconnect via FGLair App |
