When AUTO is selected, the unit checks room conditions and automatically selects heating, cooling, dry or monitor operation to maintain the selected temperature.
Heating and automatic defrost
When Heating is selected, the indoor fan may initially run at very low speed for approximately 3–5 minutes while the indoor unit warms. In low outdoor temperatures and high humidity, frost may form on the outdoor unit. The system will automatically enter defrost operation and heating will temporarily stop. During automatic defrost, the OPERATION indicator lamp flashes.
2. Timer operation
Set the remote control clock to the correct current time before using timer functions.
| Timer | Function |
|---|---|
| ON Timer | Starts the air conditioner at the selected time. |
| OFF Timer | Stops the air conditioner at the selected time. |

7. Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Check / Explanation |
|---|---|
| Does not start immediately | A protection delay of approximately three minutes can occur after stopping/restarting the unit or reconnecting power. |
| Noise is heard | Refrigerant flow noises, slight expansion/contraction noises or a sizzling sound during automatic defrost may be normal. |
| Mist or steam | A thin mist can occur during Cooling or Dry. Steam may be visible from the outdoor unit during Heating defrost operation. |
| Weak or stopped airflow | Low airflow may occur during Heating warm-up, Dry operation, AUTO monitoring or SUPER QUIET. Airflow may temporarily stop during automatic defrost. |
| Water from outdoor unit | Water may be produced during Heating as a normal result of automatic defrost operation. |
| Poor heating or cooling | Check filters, blocked intake/outlet, temperature setting, open doors/windows, direct sunlight, internal heat loads and whether SUPER QUIET is selected. |
| Remote control response differs | Check that the remote control batteries are correctly installed and are not flat. |
8. Operating limits and restart
| Mode | Outdoor temperature | Indoor temperature |
