2. Main remote controller functions
| Function | What it does |
|---|---|
| FAN | Selects AUTO, HIGH, MED, LOW or QUIET fan speed. |
| POWERFUL | Runs at maximum power and strong airflow to quickly cool or heat the room. It automatically ends after the target temperature is reached or after approximately 20 minutes, subject to operating conditions. |
| 10 °C HEAT | Maintains the room at approximately 10 °C to help prevent the temperature falling too low. Press START/STOP to cancel. |
| ECONOMY | Reduces maximum output to approximately 70% of normal operation and adjusts the effective room temperature to reduce energy use. |
| SWING | Cycles between up/down swing, left/right swing, combined swing and stop. |
| Vertical SET | Adjusts the vertical airflow direction. |
| Horizontal SET | Adjusts the horizontal airflow direction. |
| OUTDOOR UNIT LOW NOISE | Reduces compressor speed and outdoor fan speed to lower outdoor unit noise. It cannot be used at the same time as FAN, DRY or POWERFUL operation. |

Remote controller range
- Aim the remote controller at the indoor unit signal receiver.
- Operating range is approximately 7 metres.
- A beep confirms that the indoor unit has received the signal.
- Direct sunlight, strong lighting, curtains or walls can interfere with signal transmission.
Remote custom code
Where two or more air conditioners are installed in the same room, the remote can be assigned to custom code A, B, C or D. The indoor unit must be configured to the matching code by authorised service personnel.
- With only the clock displayed, hold MODE for at least 5 seconds.
- Use the temperature buttons to select A, B, C or D.
- Press MODE again to return to the clock display.
3. Timer operation
ON / OFF timer
- Press TIMER SETTING.
- Use SELECT to choose ON, OFF, ON⇔OFF program timer or SLEEP.
- Press NEXT.
- Set the required time with SELECT.
- Press SEND while close to the indoor unit.
To cancel the ON/OFF timer, press the ON/OFF timer button while the ON/OFF timer indicator is shown.
Program timer
The ON and OFF timers can be combined as ON→OFF or OFF→ON within a 24-hour period. The timer event closest to the current time operates first.
SLEEP timer
The SLEEP timer gradually adjusts the set temperature to reduce excessive heating or cooling while sleeping, then switches the air conditioner off after the selected time.
WEEKLY timer
Up to 4 reservations per day can be set, giving a maximum of 28 reservations per week. The day and clock must be correctly set first.
- Each reservation can be ON, OFF or no timer.
- An ON reservation can include a temperature setting.
- The operating mode used by the weekly timer remains based on the last operating mode; the weekly timer cannot automatically alternate between cooling and heating modes.
- The WEEKLY timer cannot operate at the same time as the ON/OFF, Program or SLEEP timers. Re-enable WEEKLY after using another timer.
4. Human Sensor energy saving
The Energy Saving program is enabled from the factory. If no person is detected for approximately 20 minutes, the set temperature is automatically adjusted to reduce energy use.

When a person returns, the Human Sensor detects movement and restores the original setting. Detection can be affected where people remain still for long periods, are hidden behind furniture or glass, or where curtains, pets or appliances create movement.
5. Demand Response operation
The unit is designed to be compatible with electricity supplier Demand Response programs. Where Demand Response is active, the indoor OPERATION indicator flashes and the unit may reduce output.

If cooling or heating is unexpectedly reduced and the OPERATION indicator is flashing, check with the electricity supplier to confirm whether Demand Response is active.
6. Normal operating characteristics

| Refrigerant flow or light squeaking noises | These can be normal operating sounds caused by refrigerant flow and thermal expansion/contraction. |
| Mist from indoor unit in COOL / DRY | Can occur when room air is rapidly cooled and condensation forms. |
7. Cleaning and maintenance
Air filters
- Open the intake grille.
- Lift the filter handle, release the two lower tabs and remove the filter.
- Vacuum the filter or wash it with mild detergent and warm water.
- If washed, dry thoroughly in a shaded area.
- Refit the filter, confirm the lower tabs are seated correctly, then close the intake grille completely.
Under normal use, clean the air filters approximately every two weeks.

If the indoor unit has been unused for one month or more, operate it in FAN mode for approximately half a day to dry the internal parts before returning to normal use.
8. Troubleshooting
