This article summarises the key design, installation, electrical, airflow, control and optional-accessory information for the ASTG09KMCB and ASTG12KMCB indoor units and their matching AOTG09KMCB and AOTG12KMCB outdoor units.
Important: This is a technical reference for qualified personnel. Installation, electrical work, refrigerant handling and commissioning must be completed in accordance with the applicable installation instructions and local regulations.

Indoor installation clearances
The technical manual specifies minimum clearances around the indoor unit, including 25 mm or more to the left, 52 mm or more to the right, 70 mm or more on the left pipe-entry side, 130 mm or more on the right pipe-entry side, and approximately 1,500 mm or more below the unit. The installation drawing should be checked when positioning the unit.

Cold-climate drainage: The technical manual advises not to use the accessory drain pipe and drain cap when the outdoor temperature is 0°C or below, as drain water may freeze. In heavy snowfall areas, prevent snow from blocking the air inlet or outlet.

Cable and breaker selection must comply with local electrical requirements. The technical manual states that voltage drop should be limited to less than 2%.
5. External control and group connection

- External input wiring: twisted pair 22 AWG, maximum 150 m.
- Keep control wiring separate from the power cable.
- The wall-mounted unit requires the communication kit plus the external connect wire for external functions.
Group control
Up to 16 indoor units can be controlled by one wired remote controller in a compatible group connection. The maximum total remote-controller cable length is 300 m. Cable cross-section requirements increase as the total wiring length increases.

6. Function settings
Caution: Incorrect function settings can cause product malfunction. After changing settings with the wireless controller, disconnect the power supply, wait at least 30 seconds, then reconnect power for the new setting to become active.

Function 95: Set the building-insulation condition before making Functions 30, 31, 35 or 36 changes. Changing Function 95 later resets those room-temperature correction settings to 0.0°C.
