anywAiR® Wi-Fi LED Indicator Reference Guide
Wi-Fi configuration, IR learning and normal operation status
Overview: The anywAiR® Wi-Fi adaptor uses multicolour LEDs to indicate configuration progress, IR learning status, normal operating mode and communication faults. Check the LED colour and behaviour before resetting or reconfiguring the device.
1. LED Status During Wi-Fi Configuration
| LED colour | Behaviour | Description / action |
|---|---|---|
| Blue | Blinking | Performing WPS connection. Allow up to 2 minutes. |
| Magenta | Blinking | WPS connection error. Restart the WPS process or use app-based configuration. |
| White | Blinking | Identifying the IntesisHome / anywAiR device. |
| Green | Steady | Not configured. The adaptor is powered and ready for setup. |
| Green | Blinking | Checking device configuration parameters. Allow up to 2 minutes. |
| Red | Blinking | Connecting to the access point and server. Allow up to 2 minutes. |
| Yellow | Blinking | Downloading configuration. Do not interrupt power. Allow up to 2 minutes. |
| Red ↔ Green | Alternate blinking | Cannot connect to the access point or router. Re-enter the correct SSID and Wi-Fi password. |
| Yellow ↔ Green | Alternate blinking | Server not reached. Confirm that the router has an active internet connection. |
Setup timing: Allow each configuration stage up to 2 minutes. Do not reset the adaptor while a normal configuration sequence is progressing.
2. LED Status During IR Configuration (Learning Mode)
| LED colour | Behaviour | Description / action |
|---|---|---|
| White | Steady | Waiting for the customer to press the ON/OFF button on the IR remote. The wait period is approximately 20 seconds. |
| Green | Blinking | IR remote control has been linked successfully. |
| Red | Blinking | IR learning failed or the signal was not recognised. Repeat the process. |
IR learning tip: Point the original remote directly at the adaptor with a clear line of sight. Keep the remote reasonably close and ensure its batteries are serviceable.
3. LED Status During Normal Working Mode
| LED colour | Behaviour | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Off | No light | Device not powered, or the adaptor is working and the air conditioner is OFF. |
| Blue | Steady | Indoor unit operating in Cool or Dry mode. |
| Red | Steady | Indoor unit operating in Heat mode. |
| Green | Steady | Indoor unit operating in Fan mode. |
| Yellow | Steady | Indoor unit operating in Auto mode. |
| Cyan | Steady | Indoor unit operating in anti-frost mode. |
| Blue | 3 blinks | Command received or sent during Cool or Dry mode. |
| Red | 3 blinks | Command received or sent during Heat mode. |
| Green | 3 blinks | Command received or sent during Fan mode. |
| Yellow | 3 blinks | Command received or sent during Auto mode. |
| Cyan | 3 blinks | Command received or sent during anti-frost mode. |
| Red | Blinking | The adaptor is trying to connect to the internet. |
4. Troubleshooting Workflow
| Observed LED | Likely cause | Recommended action |
|---|---|---|
| All LEDs off | No power, or unit is OFF during normal operation | Confirm the adaptor supply and connector. Turn the air conditioner ON to distinguish normal LED-off operation from loss of power. |
| Red ↔ Green | Incorrect SSID, password or router authentication failure | Confirm the 2.4 GHz network name and password, then repeat configuration. |
| Yellow ↔ Green | Internet or server unavailable | Verify the router has internet access. Restart the router if required. |
| Magenta blinking | WPS pairing failed | Restart WPS on the router and adaptor, or use the app setup process. |
| Red blinking continuously | Adaptor is unable to establish internet communication | Check Wi-Fi signal, router status, firewall restrictions and internet availability. |
| Red blinking during IR learning | IR command not received or not recognised | Repeat IR learning with a clear line of sight and known-good remote batteries. |
Before resetting: Confirm whether the displayed LED is part of the normal setup sequence. Resetting during green, red or yellow setup stages may interrupt configuration.
5. Technician Checks Before Escalation
- Confirm adaptor model and indoor unit model.
- Record the exact LED colour, whether it is steady, blinking, alternating or blinking three times.
- Confirm the router is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz network.
- Confirm the SSID and password have been entered correctly.
- Check Wi-Fi signal strength at the indoor unit location.
- Confirm the mobile device has internet access and the current myanywAiR app is installed.
- Record screenshots, LED video and any app error message before resetting.
