UTY-CGG Group Remote Controller
Weekly timer setup, activation and deletion
Applies to UTY-CGG* group remote controllers with the WEEKLY TIMER function enabled.
The UTY-CGG* group remote controller can store different weekly schedules for each day of the week. Up to four timers per day can be configured, with each timer able to specify ON/OFF operation, operating mode and temperature.
Important: The weekly timer may not be available depending on the controller's initial setting. A weekly timer also cannot start if its operating time has not been set.
1. Start or cancel the WEEKLY timer
All indoor units
- Press the ALL TIMER button to start or cancel the weekly timers for all indoor units.
- If none of the indoor units are already in timer mode, pressing the button starts the timers for all indoor units.
- If one of the indoor units is already in timer mode, pressing the button cancels the timers for all indoor units.
Individual indoor unit
- Press the Select button to choose the required indoor unit.
- Press the Timer Mode (DELETE) button to start or cancel the WEEKLY timer for that indoor unit.
Note: When a time is not set, the weekly timer cannot be started.
2. Set the WEEKLY timer

| 1 | Enter programming mode | Press the PROGRAM (CLOCK ADJUST) button once. Do not hold it for two seconds or more, otherwise the clock setting mode will open. |
| 2 | Select the indoor unit | Press the Select button to choose the indoor unit. If All indoor units is selected, the timers for all registered indoor units are set at once. |
| 3 | Select the day | Press the DAY button to select the day of the week. Available selections are ALL, SUN, MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT. When ALL is selected, all days can be set together. |
| 4 | Set the operating time | Use the Set Time buttons to set the time in 10-minute increments. Holding a Set Time button adjusts the time quickly. A time already used by another timer for the relevant indoor unit is skipped. |
| 5 | Set the operating condition | Use the Start/Stop, Mode and Set Temperature buttons to define the timer operation. Only the current operating settings are displayed while setting the timer. |
| 6 | Set the next timer for the same day | Press ENTER to move through TIMER-1, TIMER-2, TIMER-3 and TIMER-4. Press ENTER to proceed to the time setting, then repeat Steps 4 and 5. Repeat Steps 3 to 5 to set another day. |
| 7 | Set another indoor unit | Before setting another indoor unit, press ENTER to confirm the current settings. The display switches to the next timer. Repeat Steps 2 to 6 for the other indoor units. |
| 8 | Confirm and finish | Press ENTER to confirm the set timer, then press the PROGRAM (CLOCK ADJUST) button again to complete weekly timer setting. The display flashes for approximately two seconds. |
Example: TIMER-1 can be configured to start the system at 8:00 on COOL with a 20°C set temperature.
Do not press ENTER without making an operating setting. If ENTER is pressed without any operation setting, the time that was entered will be cancelled.
3. Delete an operating time
- During Steps 3 to 7 above, press the Timer Mode (DELETE) button.
- The operating time for the selected day is deleted.
- If ALL days are selected, the operating times for all days of the selected timer are deleted.
- Press ENTER to confirm the deletion.
4. Important operating notes
- The WEEKLY timer does not operate when the HEAT timer is set for a heat-pump model while the system is operating in cooling mode.
- The WEEKLY timer also does not operate when the COOL or DRY timer is set for a heat-pump model while the system is operating in heating mode.
- Even when timer operation is set, the timer lamp on the indoor unit does not light. The timer lamp is used for wireless remote-controller operation only.
- If the same time is set in TIMER-1 through TIMER-4 for an indoor unit, the timer with the smallest timer number takes priority.
