Overview
When installing an external input/output PCB (Model: UTY-XCSXZ2), the indoor unit can interface with external control systems such as Building Management Systems (BMS) or third-party automation controllers.
This PCB enables operation control and status monitoring of the indoor unit through external signals.
⚠️ Important:
The external input/output PCB cannot be used simultaneously with the Wireless LAN Adapter.
Refer to the D&T Manual for detailed configuration and compatibility information.
1. PCB Connection Overview
The External Input and Output PCB connects to CN6 on the indoor unit main PCB.
Main Components:
Rotary switch – Used for function selection.
SW301 / SW302 – DIP switches for configuration.
CN308–CN314 – Connection ports for input/output signals.
2. Function Description
| Function Type | Description | Connector | Input Type | Input Signal |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| External Input | ||||
| Operation / Stop | Enables or disables unit operation remotely | CN313 / CN314 | Dry contact / Voltage | Edge / Pulse |
| Forced Stop | Immediately stops operation regardless of mode | CN313 | Edge | |
| Forced Thermostat Off | Disables temperature control temporarily | CN313 | Edge | |
| External Output | ||||
| Operation Status | Outputs unit operation signal | CN310 | — | — |
| Error Status | Outputs fault signal | CN311 | — | — |
| Indoor Fan Status | Indicates indoor fan operating condition | CN312 | — | — |
| External Heater Output | Provides ON/OFF output to external heater | CN312 | — | — |
3. Notes
Do not connect both the LAN Adapter and the External I/O PCB simultaneously.
Ensure that the input voltage and contact type match the specifications defined in the installation manual.
Use shielded cables for signal lines to minimize interference.
Confirm the rotary switch position and DIP settings before powering on the unit.
