How to Clean the Air Filters and Intake Grille

Step-by-step indoor unit maintenance guide
Regular cleaning helps maintain airflow, operating efficiency and indoor unit performance.
Important: Switch the unit OFF before performing any maintenance.

1. Open the intake grille

  1. Open the intake grille in the direction of the arrow (a).
  2. Gently press the left and right mounting shafts of the grille outward (b).
  3. Remove the intake grille by pulling it forward (c).

2. Remove the air filter

  1. Hold the intake grille and pull up the handle in the direction shown (a).
  2. Release the two securing claws (b).
  3. Gently slide the air filter downward to remove it (c).

3. Detach the filter holder

The filter holder and air-cleaning filter are attached to the rear side of the air filter.
  • Remove the holder by unlatching each corner (d).

4. Clean the filters

Vacuum cleaningUse a vacuum cleaner to remove surface dust.
WashingWash the filters in lukewarm water with neutral household detergent. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to dry completely in a shaded area before reinstalling.
Do not dry the filters in direct sunlight or near a heat source.

5. Clean and reinstall the intake grille

  1. Wash the grille gently with water or wipe it with a soft cloth moistened with warm water.
  2. Dry it with a clean, dry cloth.
  3. While holding the grille horizontally, align the left and right mounting shafts with their respective pillow blocks (a).
  4. Insert the shafts until they snap into place.
  5. Close the intake grille (b).

6. Complete the final check

Press at least four points on the intake grille to confirm that it is completely closed and properly latched.

Cleaning frequency

  • Clean the air filters once every two weeks under normal operating conditions.
  • More frequent cleaning may be required in dusty environments or during periods of heavy use.

Cautions

  • Do not touch the aluminium fins of the heat exchanger.
  • Do not expose the indoor unit to liquid insecticides or aerosols.
  • Do not stand on unstable or slippery surfaces while performing maintenance.
