Wired Remote Controller - Service Menu Functions
This article explains how to access the wired remote controller Service menu and use the available functions for Function Setting, Error History, Indoor Unit Address Verification and Software Version.
Important: Function settings change the way the indoor unit operates. Incorrect settings can cause malfunction. These settings should only be changed by authorised installation or service personnel and should be performed while operation is stopped.
Access the Service Menu
- While the Monitor screen is displayed, press the Menu button twice to open Submenu 1/2.
- Press the left and right Screen Switch buttons simultaneously for approximately 5 seconds.
- The controller will change to the Service screen.
Function Setting
- From the Service screen, use the Up/Down cursor buttons to select Function setting.
- Press Enter.
- Select the required R.C. Address for the target indoor unit using the Up/Down cursor buttons.
- Use the Left/Right cursor buttons to select the Function No., then use Up/Down to select the required function number.
- Use Left/Right to move to Setting No., then use Up/Down to select the required setting value.
- Press Enter to confirm the setting.
R.C. Address means Remote Controller Address. Always confirm the correct target indoor unit before changing any function setting.
Error History
Stored controller error history can be displayed from the Service menu.
- Select Error history using the Up/Down cursor buttons.
- Press Enter.
The Error History screen can display information including the date, time, address and error code for recorded faults.
Indoor Unit Address Verification
The I.U. address verification screen can be used to confirm the refrigerant and indoor-unit addressing associated with a remote controller.
- Select I.U. address verification from the Service menu.
- Press Enter.
- Review the displayed R.C. address, Refrigerant address and Indoor Unit address.
Software Version
The software version of the wired remote controller can also be viewed from the Service menu.
- Select Version using the Up/Down cursor buttons.
- Press Enter.
