Indoor Unit Cannot Be Controlled by Wireless Remote
Wireless remote signal refused when a Wi-Fi module or wired controller is connected
In some installations, the indoor unit may have a Wi-Fi module or wired remote controller connected but will not respond to the wireless remote controller. When this occurs, the indoor unit LEDs may flash and the unit may beep three times when a wireless command is sent.
Symptoms
- The indoor unit cannot be controlled using the wireless remote controller.
- The indoor unit LEDs flash when a wireless command is attempted.
- The indoor unit may beep three times.
- A wired remote controller or Wi-Fi module may also be connected to the indoor unit.
What Causes the Wireless Remote to Be Disabled?
Wireless remote controller operation is completely disabled when any of the following functions are active:
| 1 | 10°C Heat mode is active on the wireless remote controller. |
| 2 | Sensor function is activated. |
| 3 | Outdoor Unit Low Noise mode is active. |
Resolution
Check that all three functions above are switched off.
Once 10°C Heat, the Sensor function and Outdoor Unit Low Noise mode are not active, retry operation using the wireless remote controller.
Important: If any one of these functions is active, the wireless remote controller can be prevented from controlling the indoor unit even though the remote itself is operating normally.
