Wired Remote Controller PCB Configuration

2-wire and 3-wire controller settings using the DIP switch and JM9 jumper
Purpose: To ensure correct communication between the indoor unit and the connected wired remote controller, configure the indoor unit main PCB to match the controller type being used.
Electrical safety: Isolate power to the indoor unit before opening the electrical cover or changing the DIP switch or JM9 jumper position.

Important: The DIP switch and JM9 jumper must both match the connected controller type. Changing only one setting may prevent communication.

2. Setting procedure

  1. Isolate power.
Ensure the indoor unit is completely powered off before making any changes.
  2. Access the main PCB.
Open the electrical cover and locate the indoor unit main PCB.
  3. Locate the settings.
    • DIP switch: Marked 2WIRE / 3WIRE.
    • Jumper: Marked JM9.
  4. Configure the PCB for the connected controller.
Controller typeRequired actions
2-wire controller
  1. Move the DIP switch to the 2WIRE position.
  2. Remove the jumper link from JM9 and leave the connection open.
3-wire controller
  1. Move the DIP switch to the 3WIRE position.
  2. Install the jumper link on JM9 so the connection is shorted.
  1. Confirm both settings.
Verify that the DIP switch and JM9 positions match the connected controller type.
  2. Restore power and test.
Reconnect power and confirm normal communication with the wired remote controller.

3. Component location

The 2WIRE / 3WIRE DIP switch and JM9 jumper are located on the indoor unit main PCB.

If communication is not established: Isolate power again and recheck the controller wiring, DIP switch position and JM9 jumper setting before further diagnosis.
