Purpose

To ensure proper communication between the indoor unit and the connected wired remote controller, the indoor unit’s PCB must be configured according to the controller type (2-wire or 3-wire).

2. Setting Procedure (JM9 Jumper Adjustment)

  1. Isolate Power:
    Ensure the indoor unit is completely powered OFF before making changes.

  2. Access PCB:
    Open the electrical cover and locate the indoor unit main PCB.

  3. Locate Components:

    • DIP Switch: Marked as 2WIRE / 3WIRE

    • Jumper: Marked as JM9

  4. Set According to Controller Type:

    • For 2-Wire Controllers:

      • Move DIP switch to 2WIRE position.

      • Remove jumper link from JM9 (leave open).

    • For 3-Wire Controllers:

      • Move DIP switch to 3WIRE position.

      • Install jumper link on JM9 (shorted).

  5. Confirm Settings:
    Verify both DIP and JM9 positions correspond correctly to the controller used.

  6. Restore Power:
    Reconnect power and test communication with the wired remote controller.


3. Component Location

The DIP switch and JM9 jumper are located on the indoor unit main PCB as shown below:
