AOTG60LBTA – Low Noise Mode

External input wiring and outdoor PCB local setting procedure
For technicians configuring low-noise operation on the AOTG60LBTA outdoor unit.
What Low Noise Mode does: Low Noise Mode reduces outdoor-unit operating sound when the external low-noise input is active. Depending on operating conditions, including outdoor temperature, product performance may be reduced while this mode is active.
Before changing settings: Stop air-conditioner operation before carrying out the outdoor PCB local-setting procedure. Any external switch or timer must use a suitable volt-free contact circuit and be wired in accordance with the installation instructions.

1. How Low Noise Mode operates

The outdoor unit can be placed into Low Noise Mode by closing an external contact connected to the outdoor control PCB. A commercial timer or ON/OFF switch may be used as the external control device.

Important: Low Noise Mode changes the outdoor unit's operating behaviour to reduce sound. It is normal for available capacity to be reduced under some conditions.

3. Set the Low Noise level on the outdoor PCB

Use the outdoor PCB pushbuttons SW1–SW5. The reference identifies these as:

Stop the air conditioner. Function setting is to be carried out with operation stopped.

Press and hold MODE (SW1) for 3 seconds or more to enter Local Setting Mode.

Confirm the POWER/MODE LED blinks 9 times, then press ENTER (SW3).

Press SELECT (SW2) until the Low Noise setting is indicated: L2 OFF / L3 BLINKING.

Press ENTER (SW3). The Low Noise selection is accepted and L3 changes from blinking to ON.

Press SELECT (SW2) to choose Mode 1 or Mode 2 using the L4–L6 LED pattern shown below.

Press ENTER (SW3) to save the selected mode.

Press EXIT (SW4) to return to the normal operating-status display.

If you lose your place in the setting sequence: Press EXIT (SW4) once to return to normal operation, then restart the setting procedure from the beginning. Do not guess how many SELECT or ENTER presses have already been made.
