Overview

The AIRSTAGE V-II Series is a third-generation Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system from Fujitsu General, developed as the successor to the original V-Series. Introduced globally in the early 2010s, the V-II platform refined every aspect of large-scale VRF performance — offering higher capacities, improved efficiency, longer piping runs, and greater installation flexibility.

Engineered for large commercial buildings, mixed-use developments, hotels, schools, hospitals, and multi-storey offices, the V-II Series combines advanced inverter technology, intelligent control systems, and modular outdoor units to deliver exceptional comfort and reliability across extensive zones.

Key Features

1. High-Efficiency R410A System

Operating on R410A refrigerant, the V-II Series achieves excellent thermodynamic efficiency and low environmental impact. Advanced heat-exchanger design and high-performance DC inverter compressors deliver superior COP and EER values even under partial-load conditions.

2. Expanded Capacity Range

Outdoor units are available from approximately 22 kW to over 150 kW, with modular connection of up to three outdoor units to form a single system. This scalability makes the V-II ideal for both mid-sized buildings and large commercial installations requiring diverse load management.

3. Extended Piping Design Flexibility

  • Maximum total piping length: up to 1,000 m

  • Maximum height difference: up to 110 m (between indoor and outdoor units)
These industry-leading allowances give designers greater freedom in complex, multi-level projects.

4. Advanced Compressor Control

Dual DC inverter-driven scroll compressors adjust output continuously to match real-time demand. Intelligent rotation and balance logic distributes run hours evenly, enhancing system reliability and extending service life.

5. Enhanced Quiet Operation

Optimised airflow, variable fan-speed control, and redesigned outdoor casing reduce sound levels — making the V-II suitable for noise-sensitive environments such as hotels, offices, and hospitals.

6. Intelligent Centralised Control

The V-II integrates seamlessly with Fujitsu’s AIRSTAGE central controllers, touch panels, and building-management systems (BMS) via BACnet® or Modbus®. Users can monitor energy use, scheduling, and indoor comfort from one interface.
