Overview

The AIRSTAGE V-Series represents one of Fujitsu General’s second-generation Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) platforms, developed to meet the growing demand for high-capacity, multi-zone commercial air-conditioning systems. Introduced in the mid-2000s, the V-Series built upon the success of the earlier S-Series and transitioned to R410A refrigerant, providing higher energy efficiency, superior heat-exchange performance, and a more environmentally responsible operation.

Engineered for large commercial buildings, hotels, educational campuses, and multi-storey offices, the V-Series delivers reliable comfort, flexible system design, and quiet, efficient operation — all hallmarks of Fujitsu General’s AIRSTAGE™ brand.

Key Features

1. Advanced VRF Technology

The V-Series employs Fujitsu General’s DC inverter-driven scroll compressor technology, allowing precise control of refrigerant flow and system capacity. This ensures consistent comfort while optimising energy consumption under part-load conditions.

2. R410A Refrigerant Efficiency

By adopting R410A, the V-Series achieved a significant leap in energy efficiency and environmental performance compared to older R407C systems. Higher operating pressures and improved heat-transfer characteristics enabled compact unit design and greater overall capacity.

3. Wide Capacity and Zoning Range

Multiple outdoor units can be combined into a single system to deliver up to 150 kW of cooling or heating capacity, with up to 48 indoor units connectable (model dependent). This makes it suitable for diverse applications — from office towers and retail centres to hospitality and healthcare facilities.

4. Extended Piping Flexibility

The system allows long refrigerant piping lengths and substantial vertical separations between indoor and outdoor units, providing outstanding flexibility for architects and installers working on complex building layouts.

5. Intelligent Controls and Central Management

The V-Series is compatible with Fujitsu’s integrated BMS and network control systems, offering building operators full visibility and centralised control of every indoor unit, scheduling, and energy-monitoring functionality.

6. Quiet, Compact Outdoor Units

Optimised fan design and inverter speed control ensure low outdoor sound levels, while compact footprints simplify rooftop or balcony installations.
