The J-III Series is a compact Variable Refrigerant Flow system intended for light to mid-sized commercial applications, including retail, offices, hospitality, multi-unit residential and other multi-zone projects.
Model confirmation is essential: Always confirm the complete outdoor and indoor model numbers before selecting manuals, parts, controllers, capacity combinations or commissioning procedures. Similar model prefixes can belong to different generations.

Release-era guidance: The J-III platform and its related J-III L development were introduced internationally from approximately 2017–2019. Australian and New Zealand availability may have varied by model and stock timing.

The connectable indoor-unit capacity is a combination range, not the capacity of a single indoor unit. Confirm diversity limits and combination rules in the applicable design and installation documentation.

4. Design and selection notes
| 1 | Confirm the exact outdoor model. The maximum indoor-unit count and connectable capacity range differ between AJY040LBLAH, AJY045LBLAH and AJY054LBLAH. |
| 2 | Check indoor-unit family and suffix. AUXA, AUXB, AUXD, AUXK, ARXA, ARXB, ARXC, ARXD, ARXK, AGYA, AGYE, ASYA and ASYE are different product families. |
| 3 | Apply combination rules. The total connected indoor capacity must remain within the approved range for the outdoor model. |
| 4 | Confirm controls and accessories. Cassette grilles, external EEV kits, remote controllers and communication accessories are model-specific. |
| 5 | Use the correct commissioning procedure. Addressing, refrigerant-system setup and capacity checks must be completed in accordance with the applicable J-III commissioning manual. |
Important correction: The 4–6 HP J-III outdoor models shown here support a maximum of 8, 9 or 10 indoor units. References to 40 indoor units relate to larger-capacity or different J-III L configurations and must not be applied to these models.
