Capacity Switches for G Model VRF Indoor Units

Indoor unit capacity DIP-switch reference
Use this reference to identify the factory capacity setting represented by SW1 (SET1) and SW2-1 on applicable G model VRF indoor units.
Important: The source specifically states “Never change at the site” and identifies indoor-unit capacity setting as setting forbidden. These values are for identification and verification only. Do not alter the factory capacity DIP-switch setting in the field.

Standard Setting Range

The source includes a second factory reference table for SW1-1 to SW1-4 and SW2-1. In that table, the standard capacity combinations run from 2.2 kW through 25.0 kW. The combination SW1-1 ON / SW1-2 ON / SW1-3 ON / SW1-4 ON / SW2-1 OFF is identified as Setting forbidden.

Special factory settings shown in the source:
• 1.1 kW uses SW2-1 ON.
• 4.0 kW is marked for Chinese model only.
• 8.0 kW / model code 30 is marked “Only ASYA30GACH”.
• 10.0 kW / model code 34 is marked for AUXA34GALH / ARXN34GATH.
• 28.0 kW / model code 96 is marked for ARXC96GATH / ARXH096GTAH (OAU).

Technician Check

  1. Confirm the complete indoor-unit model number and rated capacity.
  2. Isolate power before inspecting the PCB or DIP switches.
  3. Record the existing SW1-1, SW1-2, SW1-3, SW1-4 and SW2-1 positions.
  4. Compare the existing factory setting with the applicable capacity row above.
  5. Do not change the capacity setting on site.
  6. Where the model is one of the special applications highlighted above, verify the model-specific note before drawing any conclusion from the switch pattern.
